So the stug iv is built
Fiddled with the Italeri schurzen so they are removable and on to the painting.
So here she is primed.... but once a shelf queen, always a shelf queen, will have to force myself to finish this

I was planning on finishing my Tamyia Wespe.
But changed my mind again..
Here's the Tamyia Jagdpanzer IV (2012 build)
And here's my latest progress, I have been working on it for the last few weeks:
I'm using Eduard PE Side Skirts.

So the T80 SMT took second and best OOTB in modern armor at Granitecon this weekend.
2/3rds of the stuff I had on the table was from either this or a getter done campaign.
not the best build ever, but just proves the old adage 'you never can tell'
Congrsts Mike!
No surprise I missed GC since I've missed so much this year.

That's absolutly filthy John! Very nice job....
OK, about time I entered the fray. Having been watching the TV series The Last Ship I wanted to get an Arleigh Burke class and picked up the Trumpeter 1/350 USS Forest Sherman. But before I start it I have to finish off my stalled USS Independance LCS. It's a little further on than this thread but I'll take some up-to-date pics first tonight. So, 2 months to complete it....no problem !Gulp!

Dave,
Long time, no see.
Thanks for the kind words, it was a pretty empty category all things considered.
But a win is a win.. ok, second place
It was behind the Meng Bradley built up for the IPMS review that's been making the rounds online, the one with the 'no strykers' sign on the fence. And if a 90's DML kit can come in second to that, I'm ok w it!
I hope all is well with you and yours.
I dropped you a PM, shoot me a line back if you get the chance.
Mike

A post-Halloween update:
Now masts and platforms; the kit fore and aft yards have been replaced with wire (Revell only provided one set, but there must be such yards in both masts). The rails needed some "persuasion" to conform to the platforms, but all in all I'm reasonably satisfied:
Regards
Javier

Nice one Chris!
Very neat work Javier. I wish my PE could come out as well.
In order to allow myself start the USS Forrest Sherman as the USS Nathan James from "The Last Ship" I just have to finish the USS Independance first. So this is my challange as part of the Unfinished Business campaign.
Here's where it's at for the last 18 months or more:
First I have to clean up all the paint in the rails just under the bridge and around the superstructure. Still lots of PE and painting to do, decals & weathering.....

A little late to the game but still think I can finish in time. I'M going to try and finish an old ARII Macross VF-1A Valkyrie battleroid that I've had sense the 90's. I started it as a kid but but the fit was so bad that I gave up on it. Goal is going to be two fold
1. Finish it
2. Work on improving my finishing techniques.

Interesting choice and probably one of the longest works-in-progress to come up on this campaign. But welcome to the campaign and to Armorama. Do you have any pictures of it as it currently stands? I'm sure you'll get lots of helpful tips on finishing.

Here's how it looks in its current state. Still have to fill the legs, shoulders and lower arms but I cant do that until the upper thighs and mid arms are at least primed.

Finally ready to jump in this one after finishing my kit for the OOTB2 Campaign.
I can't remember why I stopped working on this Sherman, but it's time to finish it!

Wells it's official guys, I won't be able to finish my T34. My daughters cat knocked it (and a few other kits) off the shelf. suspension arms and road wheels were the main casualties
