Hey Matt,
Nice collection of resin, I always wanted to try one of those Pro Arts SF sets, they look nice. How about them mini gun sets, are they worth it. Is the resin nice, clear and straight. Looking forward to seeing more.
Joe
I didn't know it at the time I ordered, but they come two to a box. The castings are superb, save for the fact that the barrels were slightly warped in one set. A little warm water and rolling ought to cure it.

Matte, I was looking through my Humvee collection for someone else and came across these. You've probably seen the first one, but I think the second one might prove useful in your endevour. Hope all is going well.

Progress was a little slow due to a new "Mad Max" HMMWV I'm doing.
Here's the GMV update. Side armor plates are done and uparmored doors are almost complete, but not yet installed.

Hi Matte,
Great looking project you've started there! I really love those SF Dumvees.
If you need some inspiration (but you really do not need that) and if you don't mind that I use your posting: here is a picture of my Dumvee, as it won't be the last I've built. Your WIP is a great push to start one again
Greetings and good luck with the scratchbuild,

I really like your Dumvee and I like the inclusion of the figure as well. For everyone else heres a link to Pro Arts Gallery with more of Hugo's Dumvee.

The other project I mentioned-This is the Mad Max GMV, for specialized SF units. It features four M240B's, one M249 (or a fifth 240) and the big gun of choice on the turret, including the mini-gun. The missing roof allows for better mobility of the gunners.

I have never seen anything like this before, may I ask where you found the picture or did you take it yourself? Great subject, I look forward to the updates.

I took the pic myself. Forgot to post the progress photos.
First is the armored doors, as found on the GMV's and the above vehicle. At the top is the start of the armored seats:
This one is of the interior armor found on both sides:

Found this on Military Photo and thought of your project.
You know, I never saw this configuration before and now I've seen it twice. I must have missed your posting of the doors, they look real good, keep up the updates I'm very interested.

The other projects are still stalled while I await the arrival of the treadplate from Accurate Armour. I decided to work on the CIF Humvee, which also requires quite a bit of treadplate as well.

Will this site support video clips? I've got a short video of some SF types firing a mini-gun from the GMV. And if so, how do I go about it?

What is that mad max looking Hummer up top meant for? The one with the extreme roof rack.

I believe that's for breaching directly onto the second floor of a building. I've seen US Landrovers used by Rangers (back in the late 1990's) equipped in this way, and in training videos that's what I saw them used for.

Great photo installments, very unusual vehicles. I have seen the HMMWV with the patio on the top before in the Humvees in Iraq Concord Book (used for urban second story/over wall access?) but haven't seen a M1114 version. Are all these vehicles that you're building based on the M1114 UAH?
Are these Army, Navy or Air Force vehicles?
The radio phone, is that a portable Spitfire SAT phone?
You don't by any chance have a good clear photo of what's inside under the roof, ie the power converter and wire routing?
You've got my glands going now, can't wait for the next installment.
