Well, after 4 months I realised that I had made a huge mistake, the campaign was supposed to be APC's/AFV's, not tracked APC's wheeled AFV's, I have corrected the rules, and will contact Mark Millard to change the campaign name, if possible.
So to make things clear, ANY APC/AFV is allowed, either tracked or wheeled, BUT it must be capable of carrying soldiers, which gives people more possibilities
Sorry for any inconvinences.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Marek

Some nice projects so far but very few being real APCs or AFVs. To stick with the rules, the vehicles should be in my opinion/understanding dedicated to the transport under armor of soldiers but maybe I didn't understand the purpose of the campaign.
I think I'll start an AIFV or a BMP-2 with AEF interior as soon as I have time and hopefully before the campaign is finished

Well yeah, actually the only one I see, that doesent apply to the rules is Lars' LAV Jesper's Puma, but hey, arent campaigns for modellers to just finish models?
I'll start a BTR-80 soon from Revell, seems like a solid kit to build.
EDIT: Since the campaign now has the right name, and the campaign ribbons have the wrong name, I'm really sorry that Jespers beautiful ribbons cant be used, I'll try to make new ones, but they will never be as good as his.

Marek,
Maybe several of us read the qualifications/requirements for this campaign wrongly but the campaign name and early entries held to the original Tracked APC's Wheeled AFV's theme. Several people entered with what I and others might call armoured cars (SdKfz 222, 234, Daimler Dingo, M38 and my Luchs) which as I see it are Wheeled AFV's. If there are no objections, I'll continue to finish the SpPz-2. If time permits, I'll try to complete another build with something that meets more fully the revised campaign requirements.
Cheers,
Jan
P.S. - Just to be the devils advocate! Wouldn't an Israeli Merkava meet the current campaign requirements! It has a small troop compartment that can carry troops or even stretchers.

Like I said, you can complete your current build, and if you want, start another one, that applies to the new rules.
Oh wow, I dont even know! Since it's still a tank, but I guess it's an AFV that can carry troops, so be it, you can enter it!

Hi all.
I was about to start a new kit when I saw this campaign. I've seen the thread for a while but only paid attention to it today.
I'll be building a Trumpeter M1127 Stryker. At this stage I plan on building it straight from the box with few (if any) mods, corrections etc.
Cheers

This is my entry for this campaign it's the Hobby Boss V100/M706 it's built straight out of the box with only the radio aerial extended with wire and the twin .30 cal barrels replaced with spares from an Academy M113.
I hope it looks ok let me know what you think either way?
Cheers

Hi Marek
Sorry to hear all the ambiguity about what to enter. I would still like to enter the Puma. If I have time I might enter another AFV as well.
Lars, very nice LAV-AD. Like the the mud splattering.
David, cool V100. I like the "graffiti" on the front. I remember seeing a picture of the real thing in Vietnam. Really cool.

Jesper, by any means, do enter, since you did choose that model by the original rules.
David, I really like the grimy look of it, well done!
I have a question for YOU guys, would the Revell Wolf kount, as its kinda a troop carrier, I'm asking you guys, if it would be okay?

I think that's a good question. Maybe I'm gonna buy one too. I can't decide if it may enter, but I think it's doubtfull. It is capable of carrying troops, but it isn't armored.

Marek, if you built the armoured version of the Wolf I'd say that it would be okay. There appear to be several versions including one that looks like a gun truck.
Check them out here:

I would say the Wolf counts if it is armoured.

Here is more update to my M113 ACAV...
Got the base coat in. Added in the decal....
Managed to do some detail painting ....but still a long way to go...
Will compete the detail painting of the tools on the vehicle before I start weathering.
Err...still need to add in the indi track after the weathering...
Happy New year !

David: Very nicely done V-100.
Mike: Your ACAV progress is impressive. Wish my build was coming along as efficiently.
Thanks to holiday commitments I didn't have much time at the workbench. The 1/72 Luchs suspension has proved to be quite the experience. Even had to get myself some smaller pointed tweezers to handle some of the parts. Here's some progress shots:
Yellow arrows point to a few of the components.
Santa (SWMBO) brought me a set of Macro Filters for Christmas. I've partially read the manual and have done as much experimenting as I could squeeze in. Below is the result of using the 4X filter. Please note the wheels are not turned, it's actually a distortion caused by the filter and my inexperience.
Hopefully now that I've learned the ins and outs of a suspension component (and with the new tweezers) the others will come together faster.
Happy New Year to all!

Could you please post better photos? The only thing I can see is that the vehicle is sand colored with green stowage on it.

Is it too late to join? I've got a LAV-25 that I started over Christmas, and I've just stumbled onto this campaign.

Hello All,
I finally managed to get mine started, I'm building a Canadian LAV III TUA using Real Models conversion set. I've started a build blog over in the Armor forums.

I have made quite a lot of progress on my 1/35 Dragon Puma. I had some time over the holidays so work has been swift.
My computer went crazy over the holidays, so I have not been able to post photos. I have finally come close to a computer where I can download my pictures.
Next is more detail painting and weathering...
Comments welcome

Well, I enlisted and managed to get some paint onto my LAV over the past few days. A couple of quick pics:
The kit is the Trumpeter LAV-25. I am using the Barrel Depot 25mm barrel instead of the kit part. Other than that, it's straight out of the box.
Hopefully, I'll get the rest of the bits painted this weekend and get some weathering onto it.

Yes, you can submit a 251/1. That just means that try to choose something different and interesting, something other than the general 251 series, especially with a half-track campaign already going on
But still, 251 is welcome.
