It's been pretty bad so far... Lost a few handles for the turret and the body.

Completed the undercarriage...

Cheers chaps!

After a long lull period and over the weekend, managed to get some more progress on the M113 for the AFV campaign ....tracks, detail painting....

I am quite please with the track as I replaced the original rubber track from tamiya with the individual track from AFV club. I thought the AFV club M113 tracks were workable but it turn out not to be the case. Anway, I completed the track and painted it as well.
Going to do some weathering on this vehicle soon...

Below are some picture comparing between the rubber band and AFV club indi track...

A very nice clean M113 ACAV! I know this is before weathering, but I like the looks of it as is. One note is I think the right tail light should be black, not red.

Gary,

Thanks for your feedback and sorry for the late reply.
Work got in the way again.

I did not realize my right tail right color is in-correct.
Will fixed it and hopefully do some weathering before this campaigns ends.

Cheers...

Sorry about the lousy pics...

Still working on the SKIF tracks ( ) and also missing some details with the tail lights.
I wanted to try some chipping on this early cold war metal box, but I'm still wondering about the right colours.. or even what kind of weathering...

I need some help.
I'm building the DML kit and it has some molded on details (the little squares and whatnot on the sides). Are they supposed to be there? Are they necessary for the rocket launcher's frame, or should I remove them?

Thanks for the help.

Really nice Wiesel with a great paint. The figure is excellent and shows how tiny is the vehicle.

One point, I think you should paint the spade not as it was on the vehicle when it get its paint.

Hi'all! Well, I finally finished the production line 234s... 1,2,3 and 4! They are all the Italeri 1/35 kits I got for a good price a few years ago and I think they can all be placed in the wheeled AFV catagory.. although the 234/1 was a little undergunned with just a 20mm cannon!

Here is the 234/1. Flash has made the exhaust look far more colourful than it does without!

This is the 234/2 Puma. Fundly enough this is the one that went into combat first out of the four.

This is the 234/3 with the short barrel 75mm gun from older Panzer IVs I believe.

And finally the 234/4. Colours, especially the white, look far more intense than at home without a flash. Oh well...

And sorry for the tablecloth, but here are all four of them together.

I have another 234/3 coming, the Dragon version, just to see how much better these more modern kits are. The only one that gave me any hassles was the 234/4 as it required the hull top to be modified, but as I was building them on a mini production line using only the 234/1's instructions I didn't see these mods were necessary until it came to using the individual instruction sheets for the armamnet phase of the procedings.. Had to cut out bits that turned out to be rather difficult with the hull top attached firmly with glue..

Greetings fellow builders. Some really beautiful builds displayed for this campaign. It's been a while since I posted any progress shots but my SpPz-2 build has not gone as smoothly as I had hoped. Add to that a new airbrush that I've been having a time and a half getting used to and the entire project bogged down.

The pictures show what I hope is the final overall vehicle camouflage. Next up is detail painting (including the tires, tools etc), gloss coat, decals and then some weathering.

Time is getting short so good luck to everyone on their builds.

Cheers,
Jan

As for me, sorry, I haven't been able to build anything, schoolwork has really taken up a lot of time for me.

Well, some definite progress. Still working on a few details but the weathering is started and things are progressing well. For a change I anticipate no rush to finish this campaign on time.

Good luck to all the builders.

Well, since some users have asked me to extend the campaign, I have asked Mark MIllard to extend it one week.
So the campaign now ends June 8.
