Thanks Mike and Conor for checking in.
Conor it's nice to see someone that knows what they want to do ar such a young age. Most of us don't or didn't have a clue.
As far as paint goes,I used almost all Lifecolor with just a touch of Vallejo. The Lifecolor Field grey is just so nice right from the bottle and out of the 5 shades I use for each fieldgray uniform 3 are from Lifecolor.

Awesome paint work on these Jerry- love the facial expressions and I think your choice of colors for the uniforms is spot-on- they look brilliant.

Thanks Karl,
I am really liking the Lifecolor series a lot. I also used them for the flesh tones as they have a 6 color set for that. I still think I need to add a bit more pink tones in some areas though.

Not for another 9 weeks or so, weather permitting of course.....
It's forcasted for record highs up here in the Edmonton area over the next few days actually, in the low 30's Celcius!

Here's a link if you're interested, I'm kinda proud of our teams efforts to get so highly ranked on this list... Only 3 courses in our province were ranked higher than us, and they all are resort courses. We even ranked higher than the course that held this years Canadian Open on the PGA Tour.

I swear it turned out a coincidence but this dio is finally done and almost at the exact time the hit count ticked over at 150,000!!
The fact that so many people thought that it was worth their valuable time to check in on this just astounds me. It is very humbling and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
I started to record the finished product and then of course,my camera ran out of batteries.
Here is a little teaser.
ALARM!!!!! JABOS KOMMEN WIEDER!!!!!
Halt!!! Wounded in the road!!
Hans!! Run!!!
I think I can make it to those trees!
I will get some better pics later today. Some of these are old and the dio has had more added.

This is looking so good. I've been looking forward to seeing this piece finished and every little addition has been a joy to see. Now I'm really excited to see the whole thing. The sense of movement and alarm is incredible to look at already!

The German soldiers' worse nightmare in Normandy. JABOS!!!!
Realizing that the carnage on all sides of the narrow road could include them next, the artillerymen waste no time!!
Debris, dead and dying litter the road from previous airstrikes and artillery attacks.
Even the Red Cross means nothing here.
Maybe we can make the slight cover of those trees ahead??!!
The pilots' view as he screams over the area at over 300MPH.
A wounded soldier see hope through the treeline but is too weak to call for help.
This staff car was not so lucky and receives shrapnel from a tree burst. The Oberst' adjutant and driver meet a soldiers fate.
The Oberst 1A pulls him from the car but there is no hope as death knows no rank. A few seconds to lament with hat in hand a friend for years at the front.
Other wounded from all arms of the Wehrmacht in France litter the road and make passing through a moral problem. Mercy or run them over?
Kamrad horse flicks his tail while nervously passing some cousins on the roadside. The teamster fared no better!!
More to follow as I wrestle with the Photobucket!!!

The rider of the lead horse has a heart and calls for a halt. Wounded in the road!! But doesn't yet noticed what is over his shoulder in the background.
The infantryman from the 12SS does see the Jabo but can't leave his buddy that he grew up with in Mainz. He has seen too much already in his 17 years on earth.
Soldiers from a unit of the Heer have been walking all morning to get to the opening they were told about in the Kessel at St Lambert.
It's about to get worse.
Anything not needed has been thrown to the side by passing transport. Wounded get priority on the scarce remaining transport.
One shudders to think how the boot got in that state, resting next to the MG ammo box.
The faithful 105mm may be on its' last journey. The latest type,it was just issued prior to the Regt deploying to Normandy.
Tankers without a tank, fairly common now and also easily wounded without their steel cocoon. At least they have the summer denim uniforms to make walking easier but...travel light freeze at night.
Horses do not like to step on living things!
The way out!?
Steady!!
Run!!!
And so ends my story. I will be happy as usual to answer any questions or maybe take a pic of something specific that you may want to see.
I dedicate this dio to my good and dear friend Romain Baulesch. He is missed by me and I am sure,by many here. RIP.
