Our IPMS meeting is tonight so I thought that would be a grata date night for daddy and his 3 year old daughter. Off we go. Film at eleven.

That's right my friend. She even held the door open for Mr. Ron Volstad the famous artist and illustrator. I don't think he knew who she was, but he looked pretty stoked that she was there:-)

Hey I got the package in the mail today. I'm about to open it. Thanks a bunch man.

Later.

Hey everyone. Having seen the review of Bravo-6's figure set " Lili Marleen", and knowing they would fit in beautifully within my diorama, I have had no luck through their web links finding a Canadian distributor. Does anyone out there know where I can find them? I tried sentry's link from Bravo-6, it's dead. I tried to email High Calibre as well, came back as undeliverable.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Dave,
Please do not cancel the "Sunday Service!" After seeing your superb work, I need to repent every Sunday! That reminds me; I've got bricks to cut tonight.

Not to worry Mike, no plans to cancel... just to expand the band by a couple more sinners as it were. Haven't been able to get any work done of late due to my day job, but still trying to finish for the end of the month...ish.

Thanks Romain. I will check them out. Still looking for a Canadian store that may have them on stock. Might be a little easier and cheaper getting it from this side if the pond. I will keep them in mind though.

Cheers.

Nope. Sorry to have given everyone a start. Just been super busy. Such is the life of a golf course superintendent in Alberta in the late spring. Oh and being the father of a fast growing nearly four year old daughter who loves spending time with her daddy has limited my bench time too. That said its a lot of fun going to the local putting green with her and watching her roll a few in.

But have no fear, I will find time to keep plugging away, I have given myself a deadline I am still working toward meeting. Wish me luck, even though I don't believe in it:-)

No work done today on the build, but confirmation of the shipping of the Bravo-6 figure set "Lili Marleen" I ordered from Highcalibreminiatures based out of Vancouver BC. Should likely be in my hands by the weekend

Looking forward to that for sure.

Well let me give you the 411 then while I wait at the clubhouse for my lunch to come out. What I think I will do Jerry is get rid of the radios and tables, and perhaps scratch build a short pew that will fill the void where the tables were. Then | thought the harmonica playing guy could sit on the edge of the pew, and the fiddler will stand beside the piano. That's the plan anyway.... hoping to have a productive weekend.

In the meantime, keep it in the short stuff.

I have seen that set before too Jerry, we shall have to mull it over before u comit to anything though. After all, once I put it out on the interweb I am bound by the laws of the universe to make it happen. We all know that everything on the WWW is true, so I don't want to be "that guy" that screws it all up for everyone else.

All for now... Later skaters.

Go Hab's Go!!!

Wow! They look great. You must've snagged them as soon as physically possible because I thought they had just been released a day or so ago hahaha. They'll look great I'm sure.

The do Conner, and they are Jerry and yes I did basically order them almost the moment I saw them. The bravo6 website had a link to a distributor here in the western part of the Great White North. I ordered them on the holiday Monday and they came on Wednesday.

The guy charged ten bucks shipping but it cost him almost twelve to shop it to me. Sweet.

Hope to start painting them tomorrow.

Judging by the date stamp on my last post it's been just over a month now since my last post!!! Not good. Not good at all.

I need some feedback, which setting do you prefer?

I have my favorite, but I'm not sure it's the best positioning overall. So feel free to weigh in...

Thanks guys.

Hi Dave -
Glad to see you posting again - I was getting curious...

As for your general question, I prefer one guy on each side of the piano...while it's obviously "balanced" - that's not exactly why I prefer it - I think it looks a bit more realistic and less compressed than the alternative...even though you're working with a relatively small area - sheesh...that reads like a project report! - nonetheless, a guy on each side is my vote!

Have a good one

Thanks for the concern, and the comments Nick. Your newest marvel looks sweet btw. I like the wood studs look, even if it may well have had metal studs or beams. Nothing looks better in scale or real life than wood with character flaws and the aged look.

I have been soooooooo busy, twelve 8am shotgun tourneys to prep for this month alone, and the rest of life's joys on top of that. My 3am alarm keeps me hopping though. It's the calls at 12:45am from the boss the night before the owners come for a visit that take a till after awhile.

I do want to button this one up soon though, there are shows in early and late September I wouldn't mind entering if I can complete this work in time.

Oh yeah, and I forgot to file my taxes this spring too. Hope the Canadian revenues agency is following my blog!!!

Cheers

Ok. Taxes done and filed. My wife's birthday, and the Mocha Mud Pie she requests every year made,( and delicious i might add ). Our nearly 4 year old finally asleep in her bed under several blankets.( she's just like her mommy:-) )

30 degrees Celcius out, and not a stick of wind, and I have modelled for the first time in what seems like weeks.

No pictures to prove it, but some seam lines and glue joints scraped, filed and sanded on the violinist's body. Really. It felt like I had just scaled Everest! What a hurdle it was just to sit at the bench for ten minutes!!!

Nice to know I still can find the basement!!

More later.....

Till then, keep it in the short grass!
