It's all good Tim, I appreciate the vast knowledge base on our site... and I definitely don't get offended very easily either.
So take your best shots
I'm a big boy! I will not be hurt, cause I'm not made of sugar.
Its funny about the track marks, I watched a few YouTube videos last night of German armor driving on roads, and some of the Tank Days at Bovington. It was very hard to see if there was any damage done to what I presume, especially in the Bovington stuff, was concrete and or asphalt. Except from the Panthers and T34's. The Tigers, both Tiger variants in fact, and some or all the other New tanks, all had independently steerable tracks that kept moving during cornering. But the Panthers and the T34's and the Cromwells were brake applied turning and all of them seemed to leave the aforementioned white skid marks!
My Panther definitely came barreling into the courtyard from the street/sidewalk, so I will eventually have to add some skid marks and more substantial damage to the curb side areas.
Someone a long time ago mentioned that there was too much rubble behind the tank on the sidewalk for a tank going through the wall, but I imagined a fair amount of it would have been kicked backwards by a Panther making a hard left into the wall with some speed, and a fair amount of the rest of the wall is hidden under the poorly trimmed small poplars that are underneath the now stopped tank.
I do also believe that I have seen that photo of the real tank commander and the " Brolley "... had to think for a couple minutes on that term. It's been decades since I'd heard it last! You must be old like me?
Cheers mate!
