Hi all,

Eddy - The airbrush should come with its own lube. its made especially for the AB. regular household lube can mess things up in your AB.
Thanks for the tip on the NEO. will definatly pick some up.

David - Thanks man, i will.

Olivier - I built the tracks that way because for me its easier to paint and weahter them seperate. russian tank wheels and track design lends itself to do it this way. i also allows me to properly weather everything under the fenders. hope that helps. if i didnt adress your question properly, please let me know. heres a pic or the tracks.

Matt - I feel your pain brother! sounds like we may have been married to the same woman.

Thanks gentlemen!

Barrels turned out great Gary. I think you are right, the black works well with the blue barrel and the tank, and is probably better than the green/gray we talked about.

Wait until you see the studio photos of his Staghound - I think they may be a feature here soon. I have seen the model in person and it is stunning...

Dude! This looks amazing, like it was pulled straight from the photos

I have a question about the tracks though, how hard were they to assemble? I am starting my kit soon and I am debating whether to go with kit tracks or fruils. And if I go with fruils, I have to find right ones, because the T-62 fruils are the older style

Overall, this build is spectacular!

Hi Chandler,

Thanks so much for the nice comments. i really appreciate it.
They were not difficult at all to assemble. the problem , as im sure you know, is cleaning them up. Im on a tight budget and just can afford the fruils. if money wasnt an issue i would have the fruils. as far as the kit tracks, once cleaned they were a breeze to put together.
Good luck on your T-62 build. Thx again man!

Hi all,

I have completed the flat coat useing Tamiya X-22 clear and X-21 flat base. the mix ratio is appox 60/40 but i played with the mix a bit and is probably more clear then flat base.
I thinned the mix approx 1 part mix to 3 and 1/2 to 4 parts Laqcuer thinner. i like to spray on the thin side. sprayed 3 light coats. heres some pics.

Not sure yet about applying a filter. i like the color it is to start oil dot fading. ill think on it while it dries.
Any opinions on a filter are most welcome.

Filter Opinion: Brownish filter... not dark... a medium brown. I think that will take away a bit of the "green" in the model from the yellow and green camo, and give it more depth. But, an extremely thin, light filter.

Opinion Disclaimer: I have a cold and I'm on meds. Moooah-ha-ha

It really is a pleasure watching you work. I may have to challenge your T-62 with my hellcat.

Start the weathering. If you need anything like a filter, you can add it later.

I don't think it needs a filter. The oil dot weathering should certainly be interesting on that superb paint job!

Hey gentlemen,

Matt - Thanks man! bring it on! are you building an M-18 hellcat? one of my favorite allied tanks.

Jesse, Karl - you know, thats what i was thinking. i think its good base for weathering and can add filter later. i want to end up with a sun faded finish.

Nephew - thanks for your advice. will think more on it. hope you get to feeling better. a couple of strong toddies should straiten you right out!

Right now, I am going on a panzer kick. In the future. Or, maybe, a flying hellcat from the PTO.
