Hey guys, I was hoping that someone out there may be able to help me out with a question, if just about finished scratch building my Cat C7 engine for my panda M-ATV but I would also like to now build the transmission for it, I've found heaps online about the C7, images and the such, however I'm having a hard time working out which transmission is used on the M-ATV, on civ trucks the Allison 2500RDS is used with the C7 would it be the same on the mil trucks to??
Thanks

You can mount anything on the O-GPK, so yes it's possible. Maybe one of the SOCOM M-ATV's have had them mounted but I've yet to see any pictures or evidence of this. If anyone has I'd love to see it. The ammo stowage seems like it would be a problem though. How do they deal with the ammo in mini gun mounted GMVs?

How about that, usually I'm the one answering you're questions! Awesome, thanks Yaroslav. Btw, you'll be getting an email from me tonight about those CD's.

Ooh, okay, I see what you're talking about now. I have no idea, I never noticed it before oddly enough. I wonder why it's only on the front windows.
It is for heating of the windows, so the driver can orientate while driving i cold climate

The Panda MATV is a kit I hate to love - the lack of PE diagrams is tough as is the lack of clear instructions, and no color call outs. On the other hand it is a great subject. Thanks to all of you who have posted photos of the real deal - they have helped so much in trying to add details and just where things go.

Anyone knows have panda fixed their instruction paper and the some of the parts fitting issues yet? I really want to start my matv project but seems it is so beyond my skill level.... and I don't appreciate kinetic's model size.....

Hello,
I have a small question. On some SOCOM M-ATV variants I saw the large bar in front.
It looks like this:
Picture taken from here:
http://www.americanspecialops.com/images/photos/vehicles/special-ops-m-atv-hr.jpg
I would like to put this bar on my m-atv, and the question is:
How wrong would that be?
1. Totally wrong (not in any case and under any circumstances)
2. Possible, but not likely
2 is enough for me, unless there are some tehnical reasons why it wouldn't fit on standard variant. Somehow it looks empty in front so I would like to put it to boost it up a bit.
Thanks in any case
Cheers !!

Those are a SOCOM adaption of a rock crawler for use in Afghanistan. I can't recall the name, I have a bunch of pics of it on my computer at home.

I just spent quite some time taking measurements and photographing the hell out of the SOCOM variant, as well as some other surprises...
That may well become a conversion soon. As for the others, well, not everything is going to be resin.

What is the difference between the M-ATV and the new M-ATV USMC from Kinetic?
Or is it the same kit?

Do we know what the retooled kit of the M-ATV will have that different than the current kit? In terms of the actual vehicles, I don't think the Marine's trucks are any different than anyone else. Maybe Kinetic updated a few things like the new muffler system, wheels, and the additional hull armor?

Please tell us about the trailer shown in that last photo? What is that? A plywood box full of MRE's? Seems like it could not be too heavy... Any insight on the towed trailer is appreciated! Thanks!
