Gary,

I noticed your Greif doesn't have a drive sprocket axle cover.Did the Tamiya kit include it? If so you may wish to add it per the picture below.

Again awesome work though love it.

Cheers,
Dave.

Awesome looking build. I have the ancient Airfix 1/32 scale Grief that I have been pluging away on for a while. I'll defineately be using this as a guide for my build.

Dave - Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately there was no cover in the kit.

Daniel - Thanks man. I had no idea there was an Airfix Greif. I would love to see that if you want to post it here. And 1/32nd!

Oh, and make sure to paint the exhaust pipe coming out in front of the driver's side drive sprocket. It contrasts pretty good with the camo in the photos.

Jesse - You mean the WWII photo or my photo? In my last photos you can just make out that ive painted it rust and it has been dusted. Just need to add soot.

Hello gentlemen,

Another small update. I have installed the head set and added a M35 steel helmet. Ineed to finish the throat mic and a few other small accessories. Ive also added the black tread to the front sprockets and just need to weather them.

Thanks for looking.

I'm still diggin' that radio gear and headphone work Gary. Very nice touch to an already nicely done vehicle.

I do want to make an open top TD in 1/16th with hopefully some detailed work with yours to inspire me.

I feel like I have just started model building and being surrounded by such talent really helps!

Thanks for all your builds.

Hi Fellas,

Things have been a bit slow on the build...BUT!!! I managed a tiny bit of progress this evening. Got the water canteen and bag painted. Ill make some straps for the bag and attatch it tomorrow. The canteen ill just place it inside the vehicle somewhere.

Thats it for now fellas!

Beautiful detail work Gary! Do you have any plans for a series of instructional videos, "How to Paint like Gary"? I'm half kidding half hoping.

Gary,

Wonderful work on the canteen and bag. Highlighting and colour variation is excellent and really shows your figure painting skills off here. Can't wait to see the old Swabian painted up. Awesome.

Hi Fellas,

Thanks for all the kind words. I appreciate it. I hope ill have more to share with you all soon. I might Hold on the figures for some time and start another build. I am also considering adding a Kubelwagon to the Greif and Rommel which means possibly another fig or two. Im in negotiations for the Kubelwagon with another member of armorama. So, Once ive finished the Greif itself, i may be in a situation where ill start another build for another campaign and then come back to the Fox and friends when everything is available. In other words....I want my Cake and eat it too, but the cakes not out the oven yet!!!

As always, thanks my friends,

Hello Gentlemen,

Ive made some more progress tonight. I have attatched the Bag and strap, canteen, and an antenna. Im not sure if i like the antenna. Its round styrene but i might do a stretched sprue one so it will have the slight taper that the real one does. I have made the throat mic and just need to paint and attatch. Im probably gonna make a small buckel for the bag strap too. Anyways, ill have it finished by next update and ill reaccess what my next move will be.

Thanks for looking fellas!

Master,Please enlighten this old Padawan.Am I correct in thinking the frame work around the top is an antenna? If that is the case, what is the second ant.for?
I think you are right with the shape of the second antenna,it's very clunky looking, tapered would be better.Jeff T.
