Phil,
Congrats, your Sherman looks fabulous! Wish I had been paying attention earlier, very impressed with how you persevered and accepted the constructive criticism. This has been a great thread to read through, I'm sure it has helped many with those small little corrections and fixes, I know it has helped me. Great job everyone for the suggestions, pointers, and refrences, particularly Gary, Jesse, and Roy ( I probably forgot someone, mea culpa). Looking forward to following this one the rest of the way. My only criticism is that it has kept me away from the bench for the last hour

Cheers,
Rick Cooper

Hi Phil, you've done really well with this, I built this kit a while ago and it was nearly bounced off the walls a number of times! but I stuck with it and it finished up looking pretty good (in my opinion anyway). Covered mine with lots of stowage, looking forward to the finished dio. Keep it up.

Hi everyone!
Worked on the base this morning. I'veused a mixture of sanding dust, silica sand, cat litter and grout for the sand base.

I'll do another pass with the grout when everything is dry to add a finer grain to the sand base. then a seal, spray some coulours, add a spot of grass or two and some pigments.

Thanks for watching.
Phil.

Yes it is good to be back in the modeling mix!
Here is the day's progres on the base.
I,ve sealed the dirt mix with 3 coats of tam dark yellow.

Added some grout and flock.

I've manage to retreive some moss from my minuscule asphalted backyard. So i'll add it later on.
Thx for watching and comments.

And I present to you: PLANING THE HUNT.

Maybe I'll add some moss later on, but I got to get on with the stug campaing, and my possible article in Military Scale Modelling Magazine hehe!

Feel free to comment, it is always welcomed.
