There's a selection list on the first post in this thread to what is acceptable.
And they don't have to weight more than a kitten either. Well, not really but that is quite a choice.

Tourchy are you up to the member count to make this offical, or would my joining get you over the line?
Right now I'm trying to convince my family to include the T-28 under my x-ams tree.

Would the British Conqueror MK.I/II Heavy Gun Tank 65tons be alright for this campaign? I have one in my stash of kits.

No Hunting Tiger? 70+ tons, huge, and big gun. Huge on all accounts, especially in the WW2 era.

Hi Alex

I'm kind of surprised about the Hunting Tiger. It's got a bigger gun than the T28 and A39. Dimensionally, it's a little bit larger than the A39. It's just a little smaller than the T28, even with that vehicle's double runs of track. Its armor protection is better than the Tortoise and a little less than the T28. I figure the weight differences probably have as much to do with the beefed up suspensions and track of the T28 and A39. The biggest difference is that the Hunting Tiger was actually operational, actually the heaviest operational armored vehicle during WW2.
I understand that the A39 and T28 are new kits of two vehicles that are going to be popular. The majority of the people in this campaign are probably going to be building one of the two. Nothing wrong with that. Beyond those two, the E-100, and the Maus I really don't know what other kits are out there that would qualify.

Hey I'd be glad to take part I have a an A39 and waiting on the best price on the T-28. So I'm in this will be my first campaign. Oh and I don't really care that the T-28 might be a few scale inches to wide, how anal do people get, its a T-28 for goodness sake. I saw the real one at Fort Knox a few years back.

Andy, It really surprised me that it wasn't listed. To me, it meets the criteria of a super heavy. This is the Super Heavy Campaign. It doesn't designate tank only, assault only, etc. I took it to mean big and heavy. To me, big and heavy during WW2 is the JT.
I'm not arguing because I want to build this. I don't have this kit nor do I plan on buying it anytime soon. I'm not even enlisted in this campaign. And it's not because of the JT. Right now, I don't have the time to add another campaign. If I wanted to build the JT I would do it for the Big Cats Campaign. If I did have the time to add this campaign, I'd probably build a E-100 or even a E-100 Jagdpanzer.

Yeah, need better definition of what is allowed into this campaign.
Is a it a 'tank' only when the main gun is in the turret, or when the users call it such.
Go the first way and the A39 and the T28 ARE OUT.
Truth be told, and we all know, they are really 'assault guns'.
If you're gonna sit on the fence facing the other way & let the Allies in, then you there is a strong argument for the Jagdtiger and the E-100 Jagg which are in intended to kill other tanks not fortifications. 'Course do you continue down THAT road leading to the SturmTiger. . . .
the quite part of me says
When is a tank not a tank .. .
you say potato, I say. . . .
the insane side says
"its defined by a vehicle that doesn't need the gun, it destroys 'light' tanks by running them over!!"

Gee Alex?
Why then lobby so hard for the JT then?
And J Poitras. I thought everything was laid out at the beginning of the thread?
I realize it's not a Campaign with plenty to choose from, but that's what makes it so unique. To include just heavy vehicles would be a disappointment.
GO SUPER HEAVY!!!!

I'd join in on this fun.
I've got an E-100 and a Maus. Not sure which I will go with yet, but I'm in.

Jeff, I wouldn't term three posts as "hard lobbying", especially when only the second could be considered an argument for it. The first was an observation. The last was explanatory to why I brought it up.
This is Andy's campaign and he said "no". I'm not going to argue over it. My intentions were purely observational. I never posted anything about wanting to build it. If I wanted to build it I would have asked specifically if the JT was allowed. And, if I had wanted to build a JT I would simply build it in the Big Cats Campaign.
