Good you told me.
I'll take a new picture showing I haven't started before the start date.

Less than a week to go. Anyone else glad to see this one finally getting underway? I've had this project in the start pile ever since the first post. Don M.

I decided to go with the T-28, built as if it went into service as the M28A1, inspired by the Steve Zaloga build.
These pictures I took at Fort Knox while there for SIMNET training were the deciding factor.

Ya Tom, that was my main target of interest whenever I traveled there.
Now it's gone with everything else so why return?

I was quite angry when they decided to move armor out of Knox. I did my Basic and AIT there and went back several times for other training. The Patton Museum was great. Now its just a post on the down slide.
Hey Jeff we still have our memories. Going back as an SFC was a lot different then being there as a trainee.

Yup! I have several photos, AND the last re-enactment day they held PLUS some videos too.
It'll never replace actually going there at all BUT, life does go on. I am planning a trip back the the AAF Museum in Danville, PA and participate in a 1/16th RC Tank Battle. Last time I went I messed my shoulder up and couldn't even lift my arm to brush my teeth.
I missed the scheduled battle but still had a good time.

Hello team
Lets get started
I kicked of this morning after a night shift with a pile of plastic and a beer

a production line for the running gear which took up about 5 hours
Take care on step 1 and only trim ONE of part A9
I made all 4 of type A in one go and type B were done one at a time.
I found the the suspension units quite fiddly to assemble if you want them to work,I plumped for the easy non moving way(not that there is much movement),I let the wheels turn for ease of painting the tyres

More pic soon chaps

I’m also planning to build Meng’s A39 Tortoise, but planning to build it as if they went into full production and actually saw combat during 1945. This is my first kit from Meng and quite pleased with the quality of the parts.

Here are my start up photos.
I have a couple of other campaigns to finish before I start.
That way I can see all the others and learn from their posts.

Everything needed to build Dukhov's KV-4 design except the 107mm gun. It came in the mail the day after I took the picture.

Hopefully it will look like this

Holy Moly!
All those WOT monsters in one single thread. Very exiting.
Personally, I played with the thought building a KV-5 but skipped it for the TOG.

Hi Guys I was going to go with a Maus here but I got a late Christmas gift, or right on time gift T-28
Well HOLY STYRENE Batman there is a lot of plastic in this box

Finding the right spruce is half the battle
This took almost 2 hrs yesterday

worked on some more of the boggies today they're 23 parts to each and you need to make 16

I decided to leave the rubber lining off the road wheels until later in the build

Lots of impressive work, I better get started on my T-28. Lots of challenging projects guys. This is just what I needed to get back to the work bench.
Picked up a new Grex compressor, my CO tank ran dry after 20 years and its too old to get recharged.
I can't wait to see the progress as we go along.
