OK, no build pics yet, but I did get to start last night on my Kinetic Maxx Pro.
First major step was to actually clean up the work area:
And unpack the kit. 6 plastic sprues, the upper hull, tyres, large sprue of clear, some very fine PE and a small sheet of decals:
This build is double-jobbing for a Group Build over on IPMS Ireland also. I presume that's OK?

Hi all,
I'm a late starter but hopefully I can get my little project completed by the due date .
Anywho's my planned project is:
Had hoped to do this in 1/35th but time is against me .
Currently disassembling the diecast, not the easiest as quite a few of the rivets are in awkward places .
Have stripped the paint on a few parts and there is some very nice detail hidden under the quite heavy paint .
About the only major alteration to convert the 772 to a 770 is a tyre (tire) size reduction.
Anywho will update once some progress has been made.
Cheers for looking in.

Started on my Maxx Pro:
The front wheel assembly can be made so the wheels turn. It's not in the instructions, but if the 2 hub halves are not glued to the axel and the connector bar has the pins melted rather than glued the wheels will turn:
The rest of the under-carrage went together very easy. Normally I would keep this seperate to the body for painting, but that's not an option as it's integral to the body. At least I know it's level.
Parts C5 & C6 are reversed in the instructions. It's quite obvious when you dry fit them so no big issue....

Nice guys! Great subjects!
I hope I can post some news next weekend (I back to "real life work" and did not have enought time to build).
Cheers!

Hi all,
Just quickie update, all parts are now disassembled and stripped of paint:
Now the fun begins - new guard rails (brass), new hydraulic rams and some proper detail to the chassis etc etc .
Best get back to it while I have the urge.

Great job on the stripping down....
Underside complete and armour on:
And with the top dry-fitted:
This kit is going together very well. I was concerned about the allignment of the side-bins and the the fit with the top but it was flawless. It's very well engineered and molded. But there are some serious flaws too...
Sink marks down the side of the hull. They're not too bad so I might leave them as filling & sanding will probably take some of the armour/bolt head detail off. The weapons are not great. The M2 is actually pretty crap. The Mk19 has one of the nicest barrels I#ve seen in plastic but the body lets it down. These will be replaced by a Live Resin Mk47 I just happen to have.
One of the sprues in the box seems to be from the Kinetic M-ATV and includes a Rhino anti-IED device. While not shown in the instructions this will get used. There's also a lot of extra comms gear. I'm going to make the inside as busy as possible with these little extras. It may not all be kosher but will try getting it as realistic as I can

Hi guys!
Nice Sean! I will use your tread as a reference when I build my own MaxxPro.
Now, some update on my Buffalo. At this fase, it is hard to see some progress, because everything is little.
Here some pics of the "new" PE parts.
BTW, I need some tips about tint armored glass using Tamiya clear green. Can someone help me?
Thank you!
Marco

Wow Marco! Another lesson in detailing! Very nice there buddy!
It's a shame that all gets hidden with paint.

Thanks Jeff!
You're right about the paint, but PE adds some "finesse" to the model, bring a lot of things to the almost correct scale.
It's hard to work. This Buffalo is my third big PE project.
Cheers!

That's looking real nice Marco!
As for my humble effort, I started work on the interior:
there's a lot of little bits to go inside (plus all the extra gear I'll add) and the upper exterior has a ton of parts to go on. Will make it difficult doing hairy-brush painting so progress from now will be a lot slower.
Just ordered 2 sets of the Meng stowage
And this

Got a bit of work done on the Studebaker. The truck is basically done...I just need to add some cargo. I dug out some crates and barrels from the spares. Painted and washed them. I probably will paint one or two of the barrels other colors just for variety. I played around with a few load-outs but settled on this one. I think standing the two crates on end makes them look different than the other two.
Next step is to rig up some straps to hold the cargo in place. Maybe come up with some markings for the drums and crates. And that should about wrap things up.

Hi people!
Hey Alvaro, I loved the color. Really nice!
And, yes, the south is cold now, even here in Sao Paulo.
Cheers!

Some small progress on the interior:
Most of which won't be really seen after the windows with the slats go on....
Also started putting together the Live Resin Mk47. I'd forgotten how nice these pieces are. Clean crisp molding and fit together so well with easy removal from the pour blocks, very little clean-up and clear instructions. These photos do not do it justice:

Have you tried mixing the green in with Future then dip the clear part in the Future? Works pretty good, and you have a nice shiney window.

Someone on FB was doing that same thing.
See if I can find the thread.
Sal... love the engine!
Marco! I missed those mirrors! They're a work of art and I bet fragile too!
And Sean... the road signs! Where did you get them? Those are sweet and a must have!
