Oh how I do enjoy YOUR enthusiasm! You're signed up for SO many Campaigns! Remember though, this one is scheduled to end August first.
But, it may have an extension... or two.
Hang in there John! I know you have little time to work with but I believe your passion will see you through!
And Sal, what can I say? Sometimes a kit will make us feel so silly. I know... I have a few I will revisit someday before I buy anymore. Why just yesterday I refused to buy a couple new ones I've had my eyes on JUST because I want to finish what I have started.
No matter who reminds me of them.

Call it misguided enthusiasm?

Was it difficult?

Sal,
The kit is very delicate, not just small parts, the rear box rests on 4 small ears, and adjusting the cabin is also very tricky. If you lift the kit from the aft "box" be aware, you can drop the chassis and the rest to kit to the floor. Also the photoetched parts are very delicate.
I choose to glue it to the base, so I can manipulate it without touching it.
But, when done its very "ugly" and nice....

Actually, no, it went together very well. Probably the hardest part was the painting becase I don't have an airbrush and it's so damn big! In fact it's so well engineered a coat of paint in some places before assembly made the fit difficult such as the side windows. Loads of detail and really nice plastic. I'd highly recommend it. I WILL check that out soon Sean!
I never thought about this until I reached this stage, but what is the best adhesive to use for clear windows? They are kit supplied windows... so I think they are styrene. Is it best to install AFTER painting, because I can see and do that.
I use liquid cement and I am afraid the capillary action will ruin the window. Gluing it in afterwards could be accomplished with some strong white glue?
But I want some advise on this one (my baby) and then some more trucks are in the near future!

I use for my RSO matt varnish as "glue" for the windows.
For my airplanes I use white glue or the same varnish.

Interior is about 75% cemented together! Lots of knobs, levers and other 'crap' (left to do) I have no idea what they are. Especially the right side dash mounted equipment. One of which they had you "close up" but I wanted it opened as there is some detail there that I wanted to see!
So... here's what I've got so far. Pushin' to that finish line! LOL
Later truckin' buddies!

I may be worng, but I don't think there is a kit of that
I remember vaguely about a finished model of the BARC in the 1970`s. I was from a company called Roskopf Miniatur Modelle
from Germany and roughly in 1/100 scale. I could really float and I remember playing with it in the bathtub.
Oh Memories!

Home stretch is in sight. Windows and lights fitted. Front grill washed...needs a little tidy up!
Decals and very minimal weathering then all the fragile bits to finish: mirrors, antennae and doors. and wheels of course!

Hi guys!
Some updates and news.
I'm still building the hydraulic arm. For me it is a hard work.
Pics:
Now, the news:
I need a break from this kit. I do not have more patience.
I will do a quick project to another campaign, a simple kit.
In two or three weeks I'll go back to the Buffalo. I know I won't finnish it in time to this campaign. If you want to see more about it, please check
here The Buffalo is back to the box.
Thank you guys. This campaign was fantastic.
Cheers!

This is TERRIBLE news Marco but I understand here the most.
There's always tomorrow so don't worry about it. There might be an extension so stay tuned if that will kelp.
EVERYONE here has done such an exceptional work on their projects!

Now, the news:
...
The Buffalo is back to the box.
This's the unwanted stage for a model kit. I hope Buffalo will back in future, Marco. It's very detailed.
