And Sean... the road signs! Where did you get them? Those are sweet and a must have!

Jeff

Look for Phoenix on the Luckymodels.com site
Still waiting for them to arrive (any day now) so can't give a review. Can't find any reviews or pics of them having being used either but they have some lovely looking sets, that can even be combined to make a bigger base, so if this one works out well will go for more. There is a nice looking motorway bridge set on the way to being released soon

Hi Jeff and all participants,

My M-1078 is entered the compaign. I don't still imagine about my extreme truck yet.

So, I'll try to change it to the Paris-Dakar truck racer.
I think it's the simplest.

Cheers,
K.

This is a fine kit to enter, Mr.K. There are no restrictions or limitations on what truck kit to enter.

Let's see it built!

I took the cargo steel drums and painted two of them red and blue. I painted the top edge silver to represent the seal ring. I left the top lid black. Drybrushed black and silver and added a wash.

Added the crates and barrels to the truck. I used off-white thread to tie them down.

And with that, I declare her done. Unless I find some markings I like to use for a company name, it's done. I'm going to go ahead and upload a couple of pictures in to the gallery.

Jeff, thanks for the campaign. Some great looking builds going on and it gave me a use for a kit that probably would have set on the stash for a while. I could see it getting a facelift and fitted with a crane.

Jeff, it's a GMC M135, designed to replace the WWII GMC CCKW, unwanted by the US Army but adopted by the Canadians. No kits of the said truck exist, sorry.

Greg

Hi people!

Alvaro, I understand you, it's hard to see your national team in this situation. BTW, your models are great man!

My Buffalo is done. Now is time to paint the beast. I made a box to crew.

Here some pics:

Now is paint and instal the glasses and paint the truck.

Cheers!

Hi people!

I'm here again, after a great soccer/football game

So, some update on my Buffalo:

After a light hand of gray automotive primer and with a little help from my friends

I did the base layer of paint. As I said (did I?), my Buffalo will be green, with some sand details. Here are the pics:

So far, so good (I think). Now. is time to start the weathering.

Cheers!

The set arrived this week.....and then I see on the box cover it says "decals not included" so the actual road signs have to be bought seperatly!

Anyway, as for the Maxx Pro the top & bottom is now all attached and started adding all the little bits & pieces....there are a lot.
Because of the slats on the windows I'll have to keep them seperate for painting.
The whole thing has gone together very well with no real fit issues.

I finally made some progress on my build. It is a combination of a resin Mack cab and an AMT pumper kit. Mock up has been done, now to get down to the detail work. It may not be as detailed as some of the other entries but I am having fun building it.

Whoa... what a lot of progress going on here!

And Sean... I still can't get over what a rip-off those signs turned out! I don't think I would let them get by with that!
