Marco, I have a question. What are you using as hydraulic lines on the hydraulic arm?

Hi people!
Thanks for your kind words.
Darrell, I used 0,5mm solder wire, some little tubes and 0,3 wire.
Cheers!

Hi guys!
@Darrel: No way man. All of us have skills. This hydraulic arm is my first attempt using solder wire and my second makink hydraulic lines. My first one was the D9R.
@Sean: Wow! Beautiful vehicle, great job. I need to build mine.
Cheers!

Oh yes, much rest!
I think it shouldn't start until Johns 8X8 Campaign is a month or two away from finishing, like this time NEXT year or so?

Hi people!
Oh yeah! Maxx Pro for the next one, but won't be as good as Sean's. . I have many issues with sand colored vehicles and Sean's paint and weathering jobs look fantastic.
(OT)Hey Sean, did you see the new Voyager's set to the Maxx Pro? Looks very, very good.
And my rest will be build a Achzarit (IDF Campaign), Stryker ESV (8X8 Campaign), finnish my Wiesel (Light Tanks Campaign) and two big ones: M1151 w/Voyager PE and Legend Mine Roller and AAV7 RAM/RS w/ EEAK, using Voyager PE set).
Them, if I survive, I will take part of Part II
Back to the Buffalo, yesterday I added some new plumbing at Arm (these tubes never end), but no pics yet. I pretend finnish and paint it before saturday.
Cheers guys!
Marco

Guys I wanted to finish the rear suspension of the M-ATV.. at least that.
But I ran out of glue.
Went to my LHS... closed for holidays...
There were about 4 LHS near by, with this financial crisis just one survived, and they're on summer holidays...
So this week I'll just stare at the plastic
Good Plastic & PE Calendar Marco !!! I like that

You GOTTA have a buddy in the same country that can help you out?!!
I'd send you a bottle but it would probably take a week... or longer! LOL
This is why when I buy cement I get 3 at a time, then when on the last bottle I order more.
Hope you have a plan other than just staring at it.
Jeff

Thanks Jeff for the offer !!!
I'll check all the other builds and see what I can do .. cleaning parts, painting...
For this one maybe cut & clean the frame chassis parts..paint the tires.
Painting the tools for my little Panzer I F, primer coat on the Panzer III hull... masking and pinting handle bars for the door windows of the M1114...
Well come to think of it... I got plenty of things to do.
Thanks Jeff !!!!!

Another thing, does anyone has some experience with heating resin in hot water to make it flexible ? hints ?
drying time ?
I need to take a Minigun ammo belt and make it flexible but I don't want to ruin it otherwise I'll need to buy another set...

Hi John. I did this with a Valur gear tarp a while back. It hearts up reasonably fast. Thy about 30 seconds initially and then in 10-15 second dips if not flexible enough. It will cool and re-harden very quickly, but you can reheat it needed. The hot water should not ruin the resin but maybe practice on a bit of pour-plug cut to approximate thickness.
Good luck.
Sean

Hi people!
John, I do not know how I can say this in english, but I use an odontologic resin as glue. So, and sorry guys, I'll try to explain this in portuguese. John, as your english is better than mine, could you, please translate?
I hope it could help you to solve your glue problem.
Cheers!

Ok here goes:
I use a liquid called "Auto polymerizing resin."
it acts on the plastic like a normal glue, melting it. Here in Brazil, we find that in dental supply stores.
The result is perfect. And, besides being cheaper than our glues,it has another advantage: It is made to mix with a very thin powder and turns into a very durable resin. I use a mixture of the two to make copies of parts in silicone molds.

I think if I was in this situation I would use super glue. I don't like it for general assembly but if push comes to shove...
I have decided to halt my work until John can continue on his.

Really nice going guys, I like what I see.
Now don't rush it, there's plenty of time and if not, I'll go to bat for you guys for some more.
I'm not concerned about my build but you guys have put a lot of time in these so they MUST be completed for the ribbon.
I strained my Latissimus Dorsi (Lats) in my lower back (yes, it's scary I know muscle names now) so there will be no bench time today after some grueling lawn work.
Jeff

Jeff, I hope you're better now.
So, news about Buffalo:
I added more details (include ligths from SKP) and painted the arm.
Those lights look great, don't they?
Cheers!
