My UE after a day. So dinky compared to the Semonvente (which in itself is small compared to a Stug).

Rob;

Good start! I would suggest that you just cut down into those idelers a little more so that your groove / trough becomes more the real complete cut-through of the real wheel - I think you'll like the new look!

Here's a set I did from a Dragon 1B Kleiner kit:

It may not look like much but the main gun is finally finished. 60+ parts count, some of which are frustratingly small. The pics show the assembly with a coat of primer.

Here's my entry into the fray. Spent the last couple of months recovering from heart attack number 2 that happened on my wife's birthday of all days. Seems that modeling is about the only activity that my Docs will allow me to do now.

No, I bought this one and another for 38(t) with two return rollers from a company called HobbyTrax http://www.hobbytrax.net/

The AMPS website has a good review of these products. This is my first go with them and I'm not sure if its any easier than just laying them out flat and then bending them to shape before the glue dries. Bur since I have a bunch of Panzer I kits and 38(t)' I thought I'd give it a shot.

and proving that this is not a 'shake n bake' kit. Lots of problems this evening to get the top to fit and keep the joins clean

The infamous Dragon Models instruction writer is also at work here again

Nice to see this one rolling too.
Jon Feenstra, your post is correct, they should go the other way around, but i was on "auto pilot mode" while building it, (had to much on my mind at the time), and did not realize my error until it was too late, so i simply left it as it was instead of destroying it in an effort to correct it.

Chris you are doing an excellent job there, watching with great interest!

PrickleHead really nice work on the Semovente and the second project is also a very interesting and rare one. Will be waiting to see more.

Really like the dust and road dirt effect. Have always liked the little Demag halftracks. Nicely done.

Firstly thank you all for the nice comments and encouragement. This is my first on-line campaign (group build) and am having a blast. So much so that I signed up for 4 more including one with wings.

Small update, working on some of the little bits and starting to think about how to display it and if I'm going to add figures and the like.

Chris,
It's coming along nicely!

Bob,
I made the grooves deeper but am not going to do much more I just want it to look a little better.

Working away at it now.

Cheers Rob.

Made a little progress on mine. Still creeping along with it. Got ahead of myself and made a few mistakes that I am now realizing and having to correct before I go much further. Being on all of these new meds the docs have me on has really screwed with my ability to concentrate at times.

That's coming along nicely. Like what you're doing with the antenna array.

Coming right along. Trying to research which antenna mounts and rear formation lights might be appropriate to the time period. I'll wire up all the lights once I get it figured out. Maybe then be able to shoot the first coat of paint.

A lot of pics I've seen show the rear deck cage left off which is what I'm opting to do. Dragon's part is also poorly designed to boot so that's an easy out.

Interior's close to done as far as I'm concerned. Maybe add some helmets and other crew gear.

Short progress report. First overall base coat and a little work on one of the figures - the ubiquitous pointing German. Every scene has to have at least one.

Chris,
Nice progress overall but I really had to comment on your exceptional work on the figure.

Well done!

Not much progress on my PzJgI, just a gloss coat and the national markings. A bit of ADD took over and I decided it needed a friend so I started work on another kit to display with it along with some additional figures. At this rate the December deadline doesn't seem so far fetched......

Hello fellow campaigners,

Here are some pictures of my finished Sd.Kfz 231. It was fun building it after a period of inactivity of almost 25 years.
I hope you like it.

I learned a lot and can't wait to start on a new model.
