Bob I have found a suggestion that if you mix XF59 Desert Yellow with XF60 Dark Yellow (Ratio 2:1) that should give the right sand colour used on French tanks.
I got this from a site giving the paint call out for the Tamiya Char B.

Alan, thanks for the information re: the color. I like that Vickers you have built, with my eyesight I would need a magnifying hood to just see the kits parts then there's my big fat fingers.
Nice job on your build.

Super-kit IV-C, Sal! GREAT boxful of styrene and stuff - LOTS of modeling pleasure for your bucks, friend!
I'm so looking forward to seeing this one built and painted brown-over-gray!
Seeing you tackle this monster (kit) so late encourages me to grab something and try to get into this campaign yet - time has been overly-filled with stuff and little for modeling this year to-date, and probably gets no easier into the future month, but... seeing as I have 'til 12-31-14...
Hmmm. I have this Dragon III-E France 1940 kit...

Hi
I have been doing some Campaign admin and realised that I had not posted my completed pictures in the campaign gallery. I have been trying to upload the images and all looks good, it says submitting but when I look for my images I see nothing. Any advice?
Cheers

Rob,
Check the size of the picture, if it is too large it looks like it uploads but does not.
Cheers Rob.

Dario nice work on your PzII I like the camo pattern as well but I think that you have cargo covering the hatch that the radio operator uses to get in and out of the tank

@Dario;
NICE II! That brown and gray comes out looking pretty good. Once you dirty it up a bit... probably less will show, but it's quite pleasing as it sits right now!
@Dario / Sal / All:
Sal raises a point about that II... there was indeed an access hatch on the rear deck for the radio-op to potentially exit from. More of an escape route than anything else, I think. There was also a vent grill there - for the engine! (But I think it was more an intake than a cooling space, so...)
One would, as Sal (and yes, myself) surely figure(d), avoid blocking that hatch with junk piled on top. Sounds mighty reasonable, even passingly SMART, to me, as well!
But HISTORY and many many pictures show us what "reasonable" arm-chair QB we all are - there are scads of pics showing II just piled with stuff and no possible way even the HULK could escape out that rear door! I suppose those panzer guys had their game pretty well figured out, even if it may indeed appear odd - even rather dangerous - to us!
So... Dar... STICK to your (junk load) guns! I know I went that way after only a couple minutes of worrying about it!
Same kit, same theater, same color-scheme (albeit a bit darker and dirtier mine!) - and strangely, some of the same junk!
Cheers!

Thanks guys and sorry for delay of my response.
you are right, there is an hatch under the stowage items on the rear deck, but as Bob said, there are a lot of pics with this hatch covered by any kind of things...jerrycans,wooden and metal boxes, tow cables and kitchenware
Legend's upgrade fit very well on Tamiya model and it's very well done, so grant me to use this configuration
I ended first phase of weathering effects with Maimeri oils and some AK products.
Now i'll wait some days to permit a perfect drying and later i'll start with a second turn of effects
Ciao
