Looking good Jay
This is at the stage that I deviate from the instructions and will paint & detail most parts, including the dash-board, before installing. Just ordered lots of extra storage(packs etc) for the inside.

Thanks, Sean
Speaking of painting, I might ask my wife to do it, so hopefully when I do models she will have something to do with it instead of shopping, this memorial day she got bore while I was doing it and dent our bank account
By the way, did you try out those PE over the seat? Looks like might be hard to line up with the seat...... and any idea of fixing the sink marks?
Thanks

Hi, All! By the time I waded thru the 5 pages thus far shown in this forum, I think it's a GOOD thing that BRONCO will be doing a 1/35 Maxx Pro. Kinetic is supposed to release a 1/35 MRAP RG-33 this year- Has anyone seen anything (test shots, etc) yet?

Hi, Dennis
I remember they will release the Rg31 mk5 and Rg33.........this year, Hopefully I will be able to catch their MK3 version before the new release. Bronco's next new MPCV and MAXX are both on my list as well.

Has anyone thought of using Gunze's Mr Surfacer for the sink marks? It goes on very smooth, and it's much easier to sand. I've used it before with small gaps, especially with figures.
Another thing is sprue pieces melted in Tamiya's extra thin cement.. you can make it real thin and brush it on
Just some ideas.. I'm still waiting to get mine to see how I'm going to do it

I believe that Kinetic will release one more kit until the end of the year and this will be the M109 DOHER. There are no photos of the RG-33 and RG-31Mk5, so having that in mind and the method used by the company (first CAD images, secondary in progress photos and then complete kit) i think that the RG-33 and RG-31Mk5 will be projects of 2015! Concerning the sink marks, i believe that a hand of primer and two hands of paint will do the work.

I don't think my wife would be into the painting.....and doesn't need an excuse to go shopping!
For the PE nets over the seats I'm thinking of attaching to the slots in the roof and then when placing the hull just try and have them hang down, but unattached, behind the seats....sounds easy in theory, we'll see how it works out.
The sink marks on mine are not too bad. Initially I'm going to leave them and see if the disappear with the painting. I'm afraid of damaging the bolt heads etc by filling & sanding. Currently they are only visable from certain angles.
Love what you have done with the Pro-Art comms gear!

Postman just rang my door.. and the Maxx Pro is finally here. These sink marks are really.. really.. really minor. I actually had to hold the body under the light and move it around to be able to see them clearly.. also when I passed my finger on top of them I could barely feel them (I think the close-up pics make them look a lot worse than they really are - just my opinion of course) I think just one brush stroke of Mr Surfacer 1000.. then some very fine dry and wet sanding (like car modellers do) will be more than enough to cover them up completely. Anyway, I hope to start on it in the next couple of days.. and I'll try to post some pics

Thanks guys.
Thanks, Sean. My wife can't be left alone, trouble maker
Hisham, mine is quite visible, Almost spray the Mr Surfacer 500, I had that can in my hands...still not sure if it is a good idea.
Aristeidis, I am not sure if kinetic's planning on the Maxxpro Plus, also, A cougar will be very welcome.

Hey Jay, I'm not sure about the Mr Surfacer spray can - never used it before - I meant the one that you brush on so you can control it and just brush on a little bit. I always use it for very small and shallow sink marks.. or very thin gaps in figures that don't need a lot of putty.
I'll probably start on mine this Friday (Friday to us in Islamic countries is like Sunday to you guys).. We'll see how it gows.. Hope I don't screw it up
Hisham
P.S. Does anyone other than Pro Art make a comms set?

Keep me posted, man.
I believe for now only Pro art and Blast(moving) make the set. Legend might release a update set sometime.

Is the SINCGAR relevant to this vehicle?

I think so, but that will be SINCGAR ASIP.
By the way, the Harris radio is on the Sprue K(VRC-110, without PRC 152), also, AN/VRC-103 is included, they are not as good as the pro art set,but you can totally use them. I know I would if i don't have the pro art set.

Save yourself some money, Hish. He's right about sprue K. You probably won't be able to make out the crispness (or the lack of for that matter) of the details of the radios, depending on how buttoned up you make it. Unless I'm showing the vehicle on a FOB I don't like to show the doors open, same deal with the hatches -- just a throw back to being in country I guess.

Part K, Thanks Marco
I have no idea what that unit is, which is showing in the first picture, the back part looks like AN/VRC-104, but the front part doesn't match.

Looking good Jay. I like the scratchbuilt rack behind the front passenger seat: but what is it? Also, do you have reference photo for the shelving unit behind the driver? Not that it matters at this stage as I have them done and in. Haven't had much progress in the last week but did put together the Live Resin Mk47. I had forgotten how detailed and crisp these are and still a breeze to put together:

HI,Sean
I don't know what it is neither.....take a look at rob's post in the middle of the thread, also it's in the legend kit too.
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/221753#1866444
I modified the rack to match my REF, it is no necessary though.
BY phil reiman
MK47 looks great, I personally will install it without the gun shield or use the OGPK gun shield unless making a SF maxxpro.

Yeah, the fit was a bit strange. I found one of the pedals got in the way....
