C-RAM or Counter-Rocket, Artillery, Mortar System
mounted on HEMTT
http://www.armyrecognition.com/united_states_us_army_artillery_vehicles_system_uk/centurion_c-ram_land-based_weapon_system_phalanx_technical_data_sheet_specifications_pictures_video.html
basically a reprogramming and land-based version of the USN Phalanx system
I'd love to make one but its a modernized version of the HEMTT with smaller tires so existing kits would need a whole rework

Don't tell me that tires are an obstacle?
And Jeff (another Jeff!) BTR-80 that sounds like a great choice! What country?

I think that the kit may be Hobbyfan, but however he did it, there was a completed one of these on the tables at US IPMS Nats in Colorado last year.

Hi John,
I'd like to join your campaign. I'm thinking I might build the Russian BTR-70 APC (Early Version) from Trumpeter. But then I have a pile of Roden 1:72 German eight - wheelers that have been malingering in the stash for at least a couple of years. So maybe I'll do one of them... Will decide when the campaign gets under way.
Cheers
Matthew

HAHA -:D - no I mentioned the tires as an example of the need to do a major rework of the truck--
and yes, the Phalanx is available from Hobby Fan--
But I've already far exceeded my modeling budget for the next TWO YEARS
