I am so looking forward to starting this one.

Need to get some AM tires/wheels too OR, mount it on a muddy dio with the tires slightly buried?

Sound good? Sounds a lot cheaper too for me.

I am in on this ..i am sure i have something 8x8 knocking around ..i know i have the MGS in that room ..finding it tho is the fun part.
I love the idea Jeff of the 10x10 Hemtt ..was looking at building one yrs ago but the biggest issue was the wheels ..turns out there the same as the M1070 .. now i have another vehicle on the planning stage ..Topol M in 35th scale ..i got the Zvezda 1/72 RT-2PM"TOPOL" to use as the base model to take my scale measurements off and then work it from there..but ..i will be building the 16x16 version ..not the 14x14 model which the kit is based on .
This puppy is gonna be HUGE!
:)

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle... you are correct Phill and as much as I hate to admit you're ever right, you are here.

I wonder why no one else pointed that out for me? Oh well, I was definitely sick and didn't have as keen an eye as I do now SO... new inspiration! Get 2 sets of the M1070 resin wheels and one more HEMTT kit (preferably the gun truck) to use up all these parts I have now! LOL

But do remember guys... this is only an 8X8 Campaign. Right John? All this talk about more tires and wheels is only talk as it's an 8X8 only.

Rught Jeff. Only 8x8 here.

I mean you can build these little monsters but not for this Campaign.

I cannot wait!

Next month I will buy some Def. Models resin tires/wheels for my Maz. And anything else that is in the AM parts for this kit!

I'm also going to get some M1070 resin set for my HEMTT 10X10 too. Need to set my Grad aside and finish it later to make room for the new projects that are already planned for.

Jeff;

I'm still thinking about a 10-wheeled HEMMT?

Jeff

Is it a 10x10 or a 8x10?

You tell me... I'm not an expert:

Jeff

Beats me...that's why I was asking the question. Can't say from the pic if all the axles are driven or not.

Cheers Phil, thanks for that. I had read that once you get into the realm of 10x10, the costs & benefits associated with a wheeled system start to intersect with a tracked system. Got me thinking about a tracked HEMMETT what-if

Oh, I've already been there... trust me. Still trying to figure out what to use as I don't want it (the drivetrain) to be too recognizable either, but will be an Oshkosh truck. But, gotta do the 10X10 FIRST, then maybe take what I have left and make a short tracked truck? Hmmmmmm?

No extra armor or guns just a survey vehicle for the military.

I don't remember, are 'sales-men prototypes' allowed?
By that I mean that the industry shows always have such nice displays that rarely make production.
If so, does anyone have photos of the roof of the Boxer with a turret mounted.
I'm planning on mounting a Puma turret but need to know what happens to the roof layout

My progress so far

Hi John
I have a slightly started ZBL-09 from HobbyBoss
Can I join with it?
the only thin i did was joining the hull and turret halves, did some of the suspension and that was about it
I'm thinking of making a post-apocalypse setting and mounting it with some massive amount of MGs and some other stuffs:-)--<
Lemme know

Yes.

But the photos you posted of your model, you already started..
You can join but not with the kit you showed on these photos.

It looks like a lot of work, as you can see by J.Poitras photos I also has a lot of work done, looks like you have the same amount of work done so far.
If your progress is similar I won't allow it in this Campaign but post some photos of your current progress so I can have a look, but I would prefer a new, unstarted build.

Hi Marco!

I'm cutting WAY back on my kit purchases for next year as I have way too many right now to build. So this will be like buying 2 or 3 kits in one purchase, or however it may cost!

I was going to get the 'other' scud kits but like I said, I must cut back to catch up.

Besides, I have WAY too many 1/16 projects I must deal with too!

Hi Jeff!

I did exactly the same. Next year I want to buy just the Meng's Scud and Cougar, just it.

Cheers!

Hey Marco... I'm looking at that MRAP and the SS-23.

That should keep me busy for awhile with all the other kits I have.

Hi Jeff!

Yes, I think exactly the same. For the next year I have almost one big project w/ my M1151. Besides, I want to build my Styker ESV, a Priest, Modern Dingo and two or three more.

No, I'm not John He'll be make 10 or more models in 2015

Cheers!

I don't know how he does it. He must have 48 hours in the day over there!
