Tom, I am glad you found the problem. That kit can be frustrating but it DOES go together - you just need five hands!
Here is an image you might find helpfull:

Current progress on MAZ-537 F/A Push Truck:

Note the tire on the #4 axle. That is the stock resin after-market tire and hub from Tank Workshop. The other three tires I have modified resulting in drastically improved detail and size on the center wheel hubs. I have "changed" these resin tires with not TOO much extra work and NO extra $$$. More info to follow!

Progressing onto the right side generator portion of the MAZ-537 F/A that I have been working on:

Got the PTO output gearbox constructed and installed, plus the first of several electrical control boxes.

John;
Compared to that Marder III, BTR-60 sure looks like a monster! (But the 38(t) series were actually rather compact vehicles, so...)
How does it compare size-wise to the SdKfz 234 and 232 8-rad types?

Mhhh I don't have any of those in stash.. my 234's are build and in storage..

in another house. So I can't take a photo.
But the BTR has vs the 234's
Length 7.56 m 234's Length 6.02 m (19 ft 9 in)
Width 2.83 m(9.28 ft) 234's :: 2.36 m (7 ft 9 in)
Height 2.31 m(7.58 ft) 234's :: 2.10 m (6 ft 10 in)

@John;
YIKES! That BTR sure IS a huge puppy! And no 8-wheel steering! Driving one "around town" must be a bit like piloting an ocean-liner in a smallish harbor!

Some progress on my BTR-70. I was very impressed by the détails of the suspension and the very good fit. Takes time but goes on without a glitch.
Lower hull completed:

Completed interior, a little heavy handed on the weathering but the crew had other concerns...

This is my choise for the campaign. It is a Revell 1/72 scale SLT 50-3 Elefant.

I'll be doing a LAV-25 as one of three LAVs build basically in parallel (a -M for "Railguns and Howitzers" and a -AD for "What the Flak") so I have put the shot in one album so far. If that's not good enough to meet criteria I can separate them. So far only the "still in package" shot for the -25, will take shots from the current state of the builds today and add them.
