Looks perfect "Ardennes-cold", wet and dirty and unfriendly!
Reminds me of my youth!
Enough space to fit the Panther in, but just so!!!
Well done my friend!!!
Now we want progress! Think you can manage??
All the best
Romain
I don't want to sound too sentimental on this forum but thanks my friend for your support , the kind words and your friendship although we've never met each other in real live .
A big thank you and a lot of respect for a brave man !
My condolenses to the family .
Rest in peace Romain !

Hi Kurt! We hadn't heard from you in a while. So, I'm glad to see you're moving forward with this wonderful project.
I share your sentiments completely. Sadly ... there is a big empty whole in the forums now ...
All the best,

Hi Kurt -
First, it's good to see you back - I have wondered about your whereabouts.
And yes, I appreciate your sentiment about Romain; a loss of a good friend.
It never really occurred specifically to me how social this forum is - I love seeing everyone's work, and like posting too - but, this has also been a place to make friends, and good ones at that.
Ok - too much by me - let's keep building stuff - Three cheers to Romain!
Nick

Kurt, I'm late getting into your dio project but all I can is say is, "WOW!" Really fine job of figure painting. The poses are very dynamic as well. But to me the most superb aspect is your landscape scenic work. Masterful job! I for sure will be following your progress!

Hi guys ,
- Terry , thank you very much for the visit and your kind words and welcome in my topic. To be honest i'm not much of a figure painter not like Jerry or Conor for example . My figures are very basic and therefore i'm not completely satisfied with the way they look. Creating landscapes is my best part of modelling and the Scenic Factory of John Hoenig is my example of how to create a beautiful scene....
Like i said before , if i'm able to put my ideas or thoughts on a ''plate'' so to speak, well then i'm a very happy modeller. It's not my intention to be the best modeller just to share you all my work . Thanks for liking it anyway
-Jerry , yes i know i'm putting your patience to the test... and i guess to all the buddies who are willing to follow this crazy topic. Thanks old buddy for the reply.
Okay now UPDATE....i've almost finished step 2 of the plan...Waaw , euhm yes It takes a lot of time to clean up the sprockets and wheels for sure so i'm bussy with that funny work ...recently .
And this photo is in fact an other kind of image of the dramatic scene with the American NCO .
Thanks for having a look and your patience
Cheers ,
Kurt

Nice!! I know what you mean about the tank. I hate, hate, hate all those wheels and fiddly parts, but once I'm past that it's usually smooth sailing. I want to take out my Jagdpanzer IV, but removing and cleaning 32 road wheels are not how I want to spend my free time.

Hi guys ,
- Jerry , thanks for your support old buddy .
Exactly right Conor , just like you said and the kit contains also a lot of very small parts so you have to be sure that you don't skip anything and that's really time consuming .
Thanks for the follow up .
Cheers

Hi Jerry ,
yes i know brother , you are tipping your toe !
To everyone...
While i'm still working on the Panther , i suddenly came up with the idea to add a German Shepherd to the scene on the stream. But however i'm not sure to put the dog in front of the three Wss grenadiere or behind them ????
My first idea was to post the dog between the Wss and the American sergeant . So this way it seems like the dog found the Sergeant and lead the Wss towards him.
The situation now on the photo below shows the dog standing behind his '' masters '' so it's like they pulling or holding the dog away from the American to keep him out of the firing line ...
Question is , what's the best of the two scenarios ???
Okay , here's the picture sorry for the poor sharpness
Thanks for watching.

Dog out in front would be more dramatic, especially if you could modify the pooch with lowered front shoulders and a snarl giving him a menacing look and posture as a warning to the GI not to make any sudden moves.

Kurt, great to see you're still getting at it!
Jerry, thanks for waking Kurt up!

Hi guys ,
thanks for the advice really appreciated .
@mike , what should become of us without Jerry's awareness ????
To all,
so it is dog out in front, only i didn't modify the figure...
The dog is not on a leash either....
Why not ??? Because the dog is running ahead on a short distance and has to detect any kind of threat lurking behind the pine trees...So in this situation the dog finds the Sergeant and with his barking he leads the Wss at him.
Unfortunately you don't see the dog barking , the figure is from Tamiya and the expression on the dog is not barking but rather looking interested. That's to bad but here are the pictures anyway ...
Thanks for having a look !

I'm right behind you...dogging you... Building things, painting things, glueing things.... That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
