I see the building schedule is proceeding quickly! Kudos to the contractors!
Brilliant so far! Wish I had those brick "molds".

Lookin good! And thanks for the offer.Sounds like a lot of trouble for you to go through though. I was hoping you maybe had an extra"mold" around so you wouldn't have t do all the casting yourself?

I did not want to believe it when I saw the username Cheyenne popping up.
Glad to see you back! Hope all is well.

Indeed, your building style is still the same as years ago. Still so nicely and exactly executed architecture. I always wondered how you managed that.

Greets from Luxembourg

Claude

Well , well , well , ...... if it isn't my friend and mentor from the past .

Hi Claude , it's good to hear from you , it's been a long time , everything's great by me , how are you doing ?
Have you had any contact with Jean Bernard ?

I expect you to ride along here and critique every move I make to make this as worthy as Clervaux .

Also , I hope I still hold the position as Clervaux's head electrician .

It's good to hear from you Claude ............. I miss the old days .

Everything fine here. The finished dio is already in Clervaux awaiting the final move into the castle's museum for permanent exhibition. I you have time, check out the gallery on my website for some of the latest pictures.

The cable connection you told me to make still hold, so yes, you are still the head electrician.
No special contact with JBA except a mail here and there. He runs his website (no problem to google it) and is on Facebook ( I am not) and is still going strong with his water vignettes. I emailed Paul Rains two days ago for some news. He lives in Iowa and as that state is a lot in the news right now, I thought to say hello. I think he is in 1/6 scale now.

Hopefully you will be able to get some paint on this diorama. I think I never actually saw on of your projects finished. That would be nice for a change.

Good to see you back

Claude

Ah good a historic diorama to be viewed in a historic place .

I'll try and find JBA , not a Facebook person myself and if you reach Paul say hello for me .

I've finished many a plane , car , tank etc , but never a full on diorama .
If you promise to follow along and badger me into finishing this then it shall be done

Some more brickwork and damage .

very interesting subject and spectacular execution. I just love that staircase!
Concerning your brickwork I might just forward a hint I received when building my first (wrong) wall: all brickwork are constructed in a certain bonding scheme. There are nice details on Wikipedia. Would add even more realism - particularly on the broken facets of the walls.

Looking forward for more and will follow this for sure.

Thanks guys , Michael , thanks for the info , unfortunately I have this info . I tried to create a bond pattern but wound up more concerned with the bricks not mating mortar lines and the pattern bond got away from me .
I'm going to have to remember to follow a bond pattern and not throw in random size bricks that resemble no existing bond pattern just so I can show layered damage .
After awhile trying to form a pattern bond and replicate the damage
in a three brick deep bearing wall , well the pattern starts to get away from ya .
