Sounds good to me. I have a good many kits from smaller manufacturers that need attention.

OOPS!
Pardon my previous questioncomment. I meant the Tasca repops by Hobbyboss. I was thinking about maybe doing the Pz IV D by them, or something interesting. Tristar made some of those wingy-thingy's. I just don't know what I was thinking!
Thanks,
Stephen

Well, Stephen, keeping track of who belongs to whom, and who bought who's molds, etc., etc., is certainly more challenging than I can keep track of. As a rule I would say if it's Tasca label, it's good; if it's Hobbyboss label, it's not. But I'm going to let everyone follow the honor system on this: Everyone knows the intent, and if you can give a solid rationale for the kit you choose I'll say 'okay'.

I've got an MPM Bf109T-1/2 that would quite happily fit the bill after all as you said it's not ALL about armor! Would this meet with your approval Mark?

But the Pzkpfw IV Ausf D was by Tristar. I have one in my stash.

Mark and Stephen,
I am obviously powerfully confused. Last night I dug into the pile and, yes, the Pz.IV D is from Tristar. These are now being repoped by Hobbyboss, but mine, like yours, is the Tristar version. I was looking over the instructions last night and I had forgotten how many parts were in that beastie! Hmmm... I may find something a little less fiddly, since I will be in a couple of Campaigns at the same time, but count me in on this Campaign! Many interesting offerings from Meng, Panda or Takom are out there! Decisions, decisions....

I am in for this one.
Would this cover all of the kitmaker network? In that sense figures and Sci-Fi would also be allowed?
There was a Games Workshop campaign on Historicus in the past, so that company should go on the forbidden list. Other than that there are lots of interesting Sci-Fi subjects to include.
In any case I am in, but recommend it should be a Kitmaker wide campaign.

Great call!!!! on this campaign, I'm in for sure. I want to build something from Meng or Dragon, and hell even Zvezda again, or Takom, heck the list keeps growing........lets get this done, and lets get an official list of those that eligible vs those that aren't.

Chris, I'm not familiar with MPM so very welcome.
Andromeda, Meng, Takom, Zvezda, all good. Dragon not so much...

Thanks for that Mark consider me in then!
MPM is similar to Classic Airframes and Czech Master Kits (CMK) is part of the group. They produce "short' run kits and have recently moved to metal moulds (for some of their range) which have a longer life span. The kits are getting close to Tamigawa standards of detail but the fit though much improved is still not a shake and bake! Typically they produce kitsets of subjects the big kit manufacturers wouldn't consider making.

Ok, so here is what I have come up with to minimize the ambiguity as much as possible:
Kits allowed must be issued under a label that meets the following criteria:
1) Does not have more than 1000 current offerings as represented in Graham's research from Scalemates
2) Has not had a dedicated KMN campaign in the past 5 years, as researched by Tat
OR
Is out-of-production/defunct (in other words, Frog is still okay, even though they had their own campaign in 2013)
Bottom line: It's allowed if it is NOT from:
Academy
AFV Club
Airfix
Aoshima
Bronco
Dragon (including CyberHobby)
Fujimi
Hasegawa
Heller
Italeri
Matchbox
Monogram
Revell
Tamiya
Trumpeter (including Hobbyboss)
Kits should not be more than 20% complete prior to campaign start.
Is everyone agreeable to this?

I'd be interested in this. I've got an AMT kit I'd like to try, once it hits 88mph.... your gonna see some serious sh**.
And to ask, what about Eduard kits? Got a I-16 kit.
Some others:
UM (think they might be rebranded skif)
Mirage
Amusing Hobby
Miniart

Looks good to me.
I'll be doing the ICM ZiL-131 Truck or Miniart's KP42 Field Kitchen & Zvezda's GAZ-AAA (as its tow vehicle). To be honest, it really depends which one I feel like doing when this one kicks off.

I have two that apply in my stash. Both of em' planes. Crazily enough, all of my armor is Dragon.
One by AMT Ertl and the other by Hobby Craft.
Cheers!

I am in.
I assume Sci-Fi is ok as long as it is not from the list of prohibited manufacturers? If yes, we should still consider adding Games Workshop to the prohibited list. Just saying

Proposal has been submitted to the Campaigns Admin.
Jesper, sci-fi is fine. At this point if you think Games Workshop doesn't belong then I guess you'll be on the honor system there.
As a matter of fact, here I am without much in the stash that qualifies:
5 kits from MicroAce comprising a full PATRIOT fire unit (but I'm trying to save those until I have a nice big room in which to display them); a Space 1999 Eagle transporter from Imai; and 1/20th Nausicaa and Moeve from Tsukuda Hobby.
All of those are a departure from the 1/35th AFVs I have been doing almost exclusively.

did we ever get an answer and or come to a decision about Eduard being ok?
Otherwise to me the list looks great, and I'm really looking forward to this one!
