We are only a couple of days from completing the Landship campaign. Please make sure pics of your completed model are loaded to the campaign gallery. ONLY those who have pictures there can be awarded the ribbon.

Here is the gallery:

https://gallery.kitmaker.net/showgallery.php?cat=30642

I'm going to be out of town for a few days but will award the ribbons when I get back. This may run into next week so if you do not see your ribbon right away don't panic.

Please DO make sure pictures of your model are in the gallery. See you next week!

Zvivago, Great looking Neubaufahrzug. Panzer grey paintwork is awesome. Love the Mastedon image on the front hull. Are you adding a figure to show scale? KUTGW. Bill

Update for work completed on Sept.28, 2017.

Basecoat of DESERT YELLOW is applied to the model. Several applications of thinned down paint was used to get thorough coverage.

Other parts were painted their perspective colors.

The painting on the tank commander figure was completed. He is now ready for installation.

The kit tracks look a hot mess. Hopefully they will settle down when wrapped around the suspension system. Fingers crossed.
This ends today's update. Tomorrow everything goes together, and weathering begins. Thanks for watching. Bill

I like that shape of Neubaufahrzueg, Karl.
And watching your near finished kit, William (panzerman1).

Nope, I just checked. You are still not in the gallery. Posting here will not do it. This is a Kitmaker rule and applies to all of these campaigns.

EVERYBODY - please make SURE you have posted a couple of pictures to the Landship campaign gallery. Here is the addie again:

See you all when I get back!

Build update for the 29th of September.

Getting those twisted and dog-legged tracks to settle down right was very tedious work. The track had to be super glued to each suspension element.

The side skirts went on without an issue. Putty was used to close any minor gaps.

I used GREY GREEN to replicate the 2 tone desert camouflage scheme.
Decal work and weathering are up next. Getting down to crunch time. Thanks for watching. Bill

Last full day of the Landship campaign. Crusader Mk.II Update.

Applied gloss coat as preparation for decal application. Kit decals and spares used.

Dark wash applied to the recesses of the tank. A little more weathering, and a matte varnish are up next.
Nearly done this build....less than 24hrs. to go. Thanks for viewing. Bill

True insanity has taken hold. Less than 24hrs. to go and I'm trying for a 2nd entry to the Landships campaign. The 2nd kit is Zvezda's T-35 Heavy tank in 1/100th scale.

This is really made for wargaming, but with a little improvement it can be a decent display model.

The kit contains 12 basic parts. The level of detail is fair.

It's designed to be a snap-fit type of kit. Construction is straight forward. Easy peasy!

I opened a couple of hatches. I replaced some scrawny looking machine guns. I'm adding 2 metal figures from Flames of War. Also I'm going to make the half round antenna on the main turret.
Going full out Kamikaze on this 2nd entry. Yea!
Thanks for watching. Bill

Last update for the Zvezda T-35 i 1/100 scale.

Added some missing details such as turret antenna, horn, shackles, access ladder, and a search light.

Started painting the Flames of War Soviet tank crewmen.
Final reveal up next. Bill

I just tried uploading one of your pictures to the Landships Campaign Gallery and the upload worked. What error message are you seeing?

"The category you chose can't contain photos" is the repeated message I get after every upload attempt. ??????

O.K. What I was doing wrong 1st time was trying to upload 6 images at once. When I uploaded one image at a time it seemed to work. However I was only able to get one image in of each model. Other upload attempts failed to get an image in the Landships gallery. The process message said upload successful, but no image appeared in the gallery. Is it a file size issue??????

I would say probably. One of the things I tried was to upload a big file. KitMaker Gallery didn't complain, but then nothing showed up either.

Looks like you uploaded images of the T-35 and Crusader into the Campaign Gallery! Congratulations!

Gary, Thank you for the help. The whole problem was a file size issue. I resized my photos and they uploaded easily.
Happy Modeling, Bill.

Cool builds everyone. After finally getting around to finding another image hosting site, here we are.

Decided to use some other markings, pulled them out of a IS-3 kit. Too bad I was a week to late in finding some neat Archer markings or I could have used those.

P.S.
Noticed my antenna broke off :/ , gotta make a new one.

Great job on your multi-turret Russian behemoth, ComradeMP. Paintwork and markings look fantastic. Too bad there's no crewman to show the size of this steel monster. KUTGW. Bill
