Richard
You seem to have the touch. My two campaign requests, plus 2 PM's to 2 different Admin, to have the 20/20 in 2020 group build set up, have gone to blind eyes.
Guys, may I ask a favour, if a few of you that intend to join that build send PM's to Darren asking for it to be addressed, the barrage of 'interested' members might help me prompt some action....
Kalin, great to see you back here. Very nice work on the flak gun and tractor.

Well, here's my completed build for the Anti-aircraft build:
This is a nice little kit with plenty of detail and easy enough for even the newest beginner. Painting was from the Mission Models range and some of the chipping from Vallejo (German Chocolate Brown).
All these excellent builds has me hoping for another AA build campaign in 2020.
Cheers!
Chuck

Chuck, nice job. I am building five of those at the moment and I totally agree with your assessment.
Cheers

Bogi,
Thank you for the kind words. As you are building five, what are they for? Diorama of a coastal gun emplacement setting? Last line of defense? Sounds quite interesting.
Hope your project progresses well with minimal issues.
Cheers!

Chuck, my plan is:
One without a shield
One with a shield
One on the car
One on the half truck
One on the truck
End one 88 and one more half truck.
Robert, looking good. What did you use for cables?

Very nicely done Chuck. Glad to see it is not chipped to an inch of its life as some are apt to do. Thanks for joining in.
Good to see you able to get back into the swing of things Robert. Hope all is well. And yes, she is coming along very nicely. Putting the truck on the box like that makes me nervous though...
Bogi. You missed one option- one being towed....

@Bogi... Material comes with the kit, (Dragon material). It's no tube but solid plastic, soft & easy to bend and it has some structure it.
Your project looks very cool.
I myself am getting more and more interested in FLAK.

There I was thinking I was 'done' and THIS came in the mail yesterday..
and it didn't even make it home before I got started
Not too much to the kit, i'm pretty motivated, but I'm not sure I'll finish by the new deadline..
Wish me luck.

That looks cool, Mike. I'll be watching that one!
Looks like a Pantir system that they mounted on a ship!

Similar, but not quite the same.
I'm thinking about mounting mine on the ancient DML Scud chassis I have sitting around...

That extra month might just be enough.
The Takom kit builds up pretty quickly and as soon as imgur stops being wonky I'll put up the start. I'm about half done at this point.
So it’s a well-engineered kit. Builds up quickly and nicely.
BUT...
Mold seams are everywhere. Many are covered by modules and fiddly bits, but not all
Second strike, half height instruction booklet. Not great, not terrible.
Third strike HALF height, half-size painting instructions..
Still a fun little weekender.

I’m masking all kinds of little fiddly bits like headlight frames for the hull and stub wings for the missiles on the SA-4 Ganef kit. While watching the Asssstros teach the Nationals how to play baseball.
Hopefully I’ll get to prime and paint tomorrow.

Pipped you at the post Richard. I finally got some paint down this afternoon, before it got too humid. I'll let that set, then go on to decals and then pics to post.

slew the imgur dragon..
Those odd mold seams. That central box is two parts. One five sided box with the odd seams running all over it,many but not all covered by subassemblies. Primed and scraped clean by now.
and the quarter sheet paint codes.. irratiting. sheet filled with ads for other kits from same company, somehow MORE annoying.
Surfing about the internet to see if there are images of the gunbarrel ends. Otherwise it is muzzle covers for me.

Peter,
Thank you for the kind comments. Yes, I didn't want to overdo the chipping, especially since it was a single color scheme.
Cheers!
