Okay, my Build is done:



Not sure about the rag on the front. It is there to add some colour and interest. It is just sitting there and can be removed - what do you guys think?

That's the finest Crusader AA I've ever seen!

Thank's Angel. I started building them on 21. of July, it took almost 4 months... So if you ask me, too slow.

Calling this one done. Now to wrassle with the photo uploader..

It's no entire Kappfgruppe of flak...(grin) but I'm pretty happy w it.

Uploading is easy, upload one picture at the time and just be shore that it is not bigger then allowed.

I've had more than the usual share of trouble with the photo uploader in the past. This time it went smoothly. No rhyme or reason..

I'm quite impressed with your builds, the quality of them and the and consistency of the finishes is impressive.

Thanks everyone. The weathering is a little more subdued in real life - the camera is not forgiving.

My build of the AA gun is done (base to be done later).

The model is sitting on the blue foam board I'll use when I'm ready to do the base. I recently purchased a foam cutter, so that'll make it nice to sculpt the slope the gun will go on.

Busy busy busy with the final stages of this campaign build. Hope to get some results to show over the weekend.
Finally got into the groove and dug out the weathering materials.

Pressure build....

Okay, then.

Here's my start time and subject:




And where I am as of 00:51 hours EST November 25:



The above is roughly 6 hours of off-and-on work.

Time to hit it with primer, paint, and assemble the suspension.

Where it stands now. Number one is in flat coat. Only tires, still test fitted, need some weathering.



Added belts for the electric connectors on the reels. Tamiya tape and wire.


Still lots to do, but I like a little stress, the finishing touches...

Looks really good, Robert! It’s getting down to crunch time! I’m about halfway done with the decals on my SA-4 missiles. I’m hoping to finish with the booster rockets tonight!
