Hmmm...rather than describe the "nuts & bolts" differences, I found a site that has both on the same page. Have a look see:

Hope this clears a little up DJ.

Chad,
nice idea about those engineers vehicles. Support vehicles like one of those many types of mean-looking modern all-terrain forklifts would be neat, too . Imagine a diorama showing the unloading of ammo pallets from a truck in a field ammo-depot...

Me too on the Gama Goat. I purchased a couple of tech manuals so I could give it a go someday. Alas, too many things going on right now to finish up...

Nah - not in love - inqusitive because it is so odd-looking. Like building an Ontos, a GG is another weird armor vehicle to add to the collection. Gotta have something unusual to go with my Mechanical Mule!

New Dream Model (I've got lots of 'em) - I'd LOVE to have a 1:35th scale Mighty Mite to add to my collection of armor and ancillary vehicles.

I believe someone recently revived the old Lindberg 1/35 LCVP. The original was a tough kit to build. If anyone has it, can you comment.
thanks

You are welcome Gunnie. Your post got me wondering myself, had to go look it up. There are a ton of Speed Racer sites and talk of a live action movie too.

Yeah - I tour most of 'em Wildest rumor I heard about the live-action movie was that someone claimed they were going to try and present it like The Fast and The Furious came out. I could almost see updating the story and setting Speed in with the "rice rocket" set, but I wondered how'd they fold Chim-Chim into a drama like that

I take it no one ever built the 1/35 Lindberg LCVP. No wonder the company went bankrupt.

No DJ - at least not me. I keep passing the model by on the shelves, wondering what's inside. But - it's LINDBERG! I haven't come across anyone who'll fess up to buying it either! :-)

Of course, I have built it. Two actually, one a very long time ago and another about 10 years ago. It's motorized and the motor is where the actual engine would be. The batteries are kept under some boxes mounted in the rear of the cargo compartment. I remember putting a Monogram Jeep with 37mm AT gun in there. Plenty of fun in the pool. The one I started 10 years ago I tried to build as a fairly accurate landing craft, but back then there wasn't as much available as there is on the internet. I never finished it and the remnants are somewhere in my household goods.
Detail on the kit is basic and it is designed as a motorized toy. It comes with 3(?) soldiers and a couple of Navy crewmen. The hull drops to allow disembarking and the ramp is raised and lowered by a string.

:-) :-) I wasn't going to offer you up, but I thought you probably had at least one on hand - if not built Rob. I was insanely considering using the model to scale down and scratch a 1:35th scale one - but it sounds like building the basic model would be tanatmount to the same effort...
How's about them Glencoe armor models! :-)

Set your preferences to 25 or so, it shows as 3 pages on my screen. Yes, I have all the Glencoe 1/32 armor kits, even the 1/15 M41 Bulldog, but do not have the Mule since DML/Dragon came out with one at the same time.Eight Pages!?! This thread has gone on eight pages!?! Man, there should be a limit

I've heard that the decal sheet is pretty nice for the 1/15 BullDog, but I haven't seen it. I do have the Mule, but actually like the DML/Dragon one better. I haven't considered the BullDog - is it a nice kit?
