A 1/72 Imperial Star-Destroyer might be a tough one to fit through a doorway.
But I agree with you if you were reffering to the smaller ships.

For a really long time I always dreamed of building a Halberstad CL-II with metal and resin parts. A guy I once knew when I was about 10 had built one. And I alwys thought that it would be cool to build one just like it. BUT as fate would have it. there is no such critter these days too bad!!!! Soooo Now I have to set my sites on something like the Revell Monogram Swordfish with P/E parts. A pretty nice looking kit when finished correctly. It should be a really nice long project for me to work on. And a serious challenge to my developing skills.

:-) :-) Okay
I now have to ADD one more to my list. Lately I've been dreaming about, and Drooling Over (LOL) the "HAWKER TYPHOON" WOW Such awesome lines and curves. It almost seems to project the meaning of POWER and INTENSE STRENGTH, in it's very presence. Though (to me) it sort of looks a little like a JU-87 Stuka. No insult meant. BUT STILL I "LIKE IT" Drool, Drool, Drool. I really liked it in the movie A Bridge Too Far. Where a group of them slide in and bomb the German Gun postions hiding in the tree line. "COOL"

A monster machine produced durine Nam, by a company called Le Torrneau, known as the "Tree Eater"! Now is that awsome or what?? Sounds like something you'd find under your bed on a dark night during a power black out!
Man Jack you are one wierd dingbat! You're telling me!(says Jack one to Jack two!)

OK, Jim. Petition Fine Molds for a 1/72 Falcon? Consider it done!
A 1/72 Star Destroyer? Hmmmm. Just the bridge superstructure might be tough to get through the door. (but think of all the fiber optic lights you could put in! :-) ) At that scale, it'd be a lot easier to make correct shield generator domes anyway. Not like the golf balls on the Ertl kit......
Seriouly, I've said it before and I'll say it yet again. The top four SW models I wanna see are:
Rebel Blockade Runner
Radiant VII
Sith Infiltrator
Nebulon-B Frigate

I don't have any one dream kit, but I would love to see a great model company such as Tamiya or DML pay some attention to the following vehicles:
BT-2
BT-5
BT-7
T-26
T-27
T-28
T-30
T-35
T-37
T-38
T-40
I know that there are kits of all of these vehicles out there and yes I own them all (unbuilt of course). The kits are all o.k. except the T-28 and T-35 which are darn good by ICM, but I would love to see the results when the best model makers in the world take a crack at these nifty Soviet vehicles. Unfortunately, I don't think Tamiya will ever do these and DML most likely won't either.
I found out something interesting about Tamiya from the guys at Tamiya America. It seems that the US market only accounts for 10% of Tamiya's sales, Europe accounts for another 10%, and Asia is the rest. So all of us Western modelers who are screaming for more Allied vehicles are not going to get our way because it just doesn't make much business sense for Tamiya. The bulk of Tamiya's customers want German WWII and modern Japanese vehicles so that is what Tamiya makes. It all makes perfect sense, but it still sucks.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to continue making the kits that need extra TLC and when I want a break I will build a Tamiya or DML German vehicle.
BTW, another vehicle that I would like to see come out in 1/35 plastic is the Char B!

I don't know if I'd consider these "dream" models, but here is what I'd like to see in kit form...
T28 Super Heavy tank
T12 half track/75mm antitank gun combo( I don't know much about scratching or bashing for this}
M4 medium tractor( I need a prime mover in my collection of WWII US stuff)

Hey, welcome to Armorama lindyone! You'll find a great bunch of folks here.
Here's a couple more kits I thought of. . .
1. 1:24 '72 Ford Mustang
2. 1:48 AH-1G Cobra (more accurate than the Tamiya one)
3. 1:48 UH-1C Huey Gunship (more accurate than the Monogram one)

Since I'm into halftracks now....
A 1/16th scale sdkfz 251/1 HANOMAG APC would rock! Talk about an awesome model. Great potential for detail everywhere. Plus, bigger parts are easier to work with....
