I just remembered another kit i would like to see done. A year or 2 ago in Finescale Modeler some guy scratchbuilt a Grizzly. The tank had a bulldozer blade/ mine blade in teh front, and a huge crane on te side of it. Must of taken the guy forever to build it.

As I recall the fellow who built the Grizzly is at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. If my recollection is correct, he makes museum quality models for a living. Which is not a bad way to turn a buck.

I think I've developed a new affinity for wheeled AFV's, and in doing so, (Dragon Wagon, and M20 now in the collection) I discovered the M38 six wheeled armored car which was standardized in March of 1945 to replace the M8.
I foresee a dio with the T26E3 with an M38 in Germany '45. What do you think? Cool eh? :-)

Ken,
Lol...you had to resurrect the longest thread in the history of Armorama eh?
M38 Sounds like a good choice. Do you have any online resources for that AFV as I am unfamiliar with it.

Ken,
Unless you have more info about this vehicle actually being delployed in the ETO, I would guess from the data on the site you posted that the production (although standardized), never went forward.
It is cool looking though! I take it there are no kits available for this one?

I've decided to get going on a Dream Model of mine this summer...
I want to wrestle the old Revell HM MM-1 Teracruzer and Mace Cruise Missile together. I finally got a hold of enough technical information to make the project feasible - as I was considering scratching it in 1:35 scale, instead of building the 1:32 scale kit.

Hey, I just thought of another modle that I've wanted for a long time. Ever since I was a wee lad; The Ghostbusters Ecto-1! One time I made it out of LEGOs and put about a half-million light pieces on the roof. If I remember correctly, I think I saw a kit of the Ecto-1 a few years ago. It was ERTL or Revel or something, if it actually was the Ghostbusters wagon.
Imagine my enthusiasm when I heard of what Polar Lights was doing!! For a look at the mockup of the kit take a surf over here

Speaking of the Moser unit you mention above, it reminds me of the experimental unit that incorporated, I believe four (4), Tiger chassis' and was disguised ( ) as a HOUSE, if you can believe that!?!
Rob... Kenc', either of you know of that one?
Tread - Actually, I've seen a model of this somewhere on the net, I think it was 1:72, IIRC it was a shore battery, and you're right, riding on (4) Tiger chassis and designed to look like a house. I'll try to see if I can find it again, but don't hold yer breath.
(Now that this has been brought up again, I have no doubt that Kencelot will be along shortly with the link anyway ) :-)

There are alot of models that I could dream about. Since I am a huge German armor fan, I would love a 1/16 scale Hetzer (it is my favorite). I am also a pretty big Star Wars fan, so I'd have to agree wth the others that said they would like a large scale AT-AT. :-)

Quoted Text...How about a Karl Morser transported on two Tiger I chassis? Used similar transport supports as for rail transport. Saw it long, long, long time ago. Can’t even remember if it was a drawing or photo, most likely a drawing. Always thought it would be awesome in 1/35.

Okay - another dream model:
An original series USS Enterprise - that is accurate and you don't have to sweat over to complete!
Gunnie
(Hell - make that the NCC-1701 refit too - without the dang "Aztec" engraved pattern - without auctioning off your first-born to purchase)

Ohhhhh....many,many thanks Private Linz! I'm sure most everybody who participated in this thread thought I was sniffing too much of my own model glue when I originally posted my memory of the multi-armour piece that looked like a house, now properly known as 'Projekt NM'. But kindly, they were all too polite to say so... :-)
I knew I remembered reading about it somewhere, but couldn't remember where. I am very grateful for your posted link so that all can see that TreadHead is 'glue-sniffing free'! HaHa.

I'm afraid to ask I heard some are asking upward of 60 bones for this kit - and higher if they have the original "rainbow warp effect" decals for the nacelles.
If Sabot was around - he'd chime in on it. The kit is so rare I've not looked seriously for it for some time now...

My dream model right now would be the new LAV III in use by Canada, NZ and now the US Army. although the US Army Striker does not have the same turret, the chassis will provide for endless conversions similar to the M113. the Canadian Army is currently fielding five variants. It will give me something to do when I run out of Leopard and M113 variants. (if I live that long)

I do not know what they go for today, but I do have one that I started many years ago (over 20). I got as far as spray painting the kit gloss white while it was still on the sprues. The decals were dry transfer (1st time I had ever seen that) and the "rainbow effect" decals are basically those prism decals that are peel and stick. I never finished the kit (still have the unfinished "Smoothie") since I got the Aztec paneled STII: TWOK and built that one instead. (back then, the Aztec engraved version was leaps and bounds ahead of the smoothie). I recently got the blue clear resin warp engine pieces from Federation Models so I can someday finish the Smoothie.I'm afraid to ask I heard some are asking upward of 60 bones for this kit - and higher if they have the original "rainbow warp effect" decals for the nacelles.

MPC did the Ecto-1 originally and it was re-released recently by AMT/Ertl. I do not think the PL one is new, but a purchase of bagged kits from AMT/Ertl so they can re-box them in replica boxes. They did this with the Movie Monsters (Frankenstein, Mummy, Wolfman, King Kong, etc), bought kits from Monogram and reboxed them in Aurora repro boxes.Hey, I just thought of another modle that I've wanted for a long time. I was thinking. A 1/72 scale Millenium Falcon by Fine Molds would be most inspiring. Maybe we should petition them for one?

A 1:72 Millenium Falcon would be cool Jim. Actually, since we're dreaming, it would be nice to see all the Star Wars craft in the same scale. Never did understand why they didn't build them in the 'standard' scales.
