Hi all!
AJ, I just uploaded pictures of my T-6 in the Official Gallery and it worked fine

I sent you my e-mail adress in case it's still not working for you.
I made a resin replacement part for my missing engine. I used an Accurate Miniature SBD part for that. Guess what? The day after I was finished, I received an original replacement part from Heller! Only one week after I sent out my request letter! I should have been more confident into the French Manufacturer!

The engine was then quickly assembled and the aircraft frame painted with Humbrol Metal Coat. Next step was to pre-shade the model with brown and paint it with two coats (one darker and one lighter) of yellow. I used, as usual, Tamiya acrylics for that.

Maybe I'll be finished this week-end
Jean-Luc
P.S. My modem is still not working so I'm using internet at work. I won't be too much online this week-end but I'll try to keep an eye on this thread...

Thats looking fabulous Jean-Luc.
I have a soft spot for the Harvard as my father flew them.
Im working on a plan to build one myself and decal it in the markings of the plane he gained his RAF wings in.Going to take a bit of private detective work on my part to sneak a look in his log book and find the correct serial number for it,and Im going to have to get some decals made I guess, but will make a nice surprise gift for him.
Look forward to seeing yours with its teeth!

Hello Jean-Luc and everybody.
Sorry for this late introduction but January was the last month my school and I was literally buried under my lessons.....
I will be building Hasegawa's 1/48 Desert Harrier for the campaign. I bought the kit and will start building as soon as possible. I will post progress pictures when I start.

Regards

hi jean- luc! well its official, i've got me a kit for this one (had some buisness at the bank, and then strangely found myself walking into my lhs) i killed two birds with one stone because there have been a lot of nice helo kits here recently, and i wanted to try one myself, so my entry is an italeri uh-1c gunship.
pics to follow......

Hi Jeroen, that's a big "tone down" job you did on your Hellcat. Looks 100% better. Love the weathering and "dirtying up" you did.

Hey Almonkey, is that a tree growing out of your tail section? You really should finish the helicopter first and then worry about the diorama. :-)

hi herman, no its not a tree! i use old wires i pick up at work (electricians leave all sorts of useful bits around) to hold fusalages together for dry fitting
nigel, not a single wire on this one! i'll leave off the WW1 for a while ( i'm still thinking about building a gotha bomber for bombs away though)

well i promised pics and here is one. this is the first shot of color. note i am not pleased with the results. i still find seam lines and other issues.

i have sanded the offending areas and will respray. the brown is tamiya rattlecan. the underside is sky. i dont like the look of it either. not the color i thought i had. so i will respray this also.

Hi all, just a progress shot of my Spitfire's cockpit. The Tamiya kit doesn't include decals for the instruments...so I cut some from a Brewster sheet I'm not using.(lots of holding my breath last night!) Thanks...N

Hi all!
Joe and Nigel, nice to see your projects are on the way! They both look very promising.
My DSL Modem is still not working. It seems to be a problem with my phone line. It should be fixed in the next days by France Telecom... Well, I hope so
Maybe I will be fully operational soon and be able to upload pics of my finished T-6.
See you (hopefully) soon!
Jean-Luc

Congratulations and well done to every one who has finished their projects, there is some outstanding aircraft on display already.
My progress isn't going at all well. The P51C Mustang that was planned for this campaign hit a few hiccups,
1- I can't figure out how to make my own decals, when all i have is a grainy pic of what i want.
2- Serious fit issues in the cockpit, no matter how i put it in it doesn't look right.
So that model has gone on the "to do later" pile and i have bought myself Italeri's 1/48 F-86 E Sabre to build instead. As I'm on a weekend off, hopefully it should be nearly completed by Sunday.

A quick update of my entry, Italeri's (old Esci mould) F86 E Sabre. The kit goes together near enough perfect with only a little filler and sanding needed. The next part is the painting and the wheels and such.
If i carry on at this rate of building I'll be through my stash by March :-) .

Hi Andy!
Too bad for your P-51!
But nice you find a replacement kit. This F-86 looks very promising!
Good luck for that one!

Update on my Corsair II
I had to change the blue color on the plane to match the blue on the decals. No big deal.
The decals have started to be applied, so Pictures should be in, in the next week or so.
