The Spanish figure and AFV company NIMIX has just announced a series of new releases which are of particular interest to those building 1/48th scale vehicles....

To begin at the beginning, Formations are a company which produce a series of indispensable detail and conversion sets for both the Sherman and the Stuart. Their products are now the first 'port of call' for anyone converting or 'accurizing' these vehicles in 1/35th scale. These three new sets will find an immediate market amongst the 'Shermanholics' amongst us...

When DML started producing their 3 in 1 kits, the modelling let out a collective gasp of surprise.... However, thinking about it logically, it made sense to do a kit with a choice of three variants in he 251 seres of vehicles. One of the plastic manufacturers 'par excellence' in recent years was the Taiwanese company Skybow. When they sold the majority of their moulds to AFV Club it looked as if the modelling world had lost one of their truly great innovators. Now Skybow is back, not working in 1/35th this time, but in 1/48th scale....

Echelon Fine details emerged a year or so with an extraordinary series of decal sheets in 1/35th scale. Primarily, they have produced decal sets for Modern AFVs although their last releases contained a number of extraordinary sheets for WWII German vehicles. With these new releases, they are returning to U.S. vehicles in O.I.F....

It has been somewhat amiss of me to have paid little attention to the new releases of Archer Fine Transfers - in future these wll become regular updates. Archer for those who are unaware of their products, produce an extraordinary variety of decal sheets in 1/72nd, 1/35th, 1/16th and recenty, 1/48th scale.
