Could you get Eduard to do a limited release for Real model on the M1127 RV slat and blast panels?
Also I will buy 4 Rhinos right now, I think they will be popular.
Are you satisfied with how I've represented your (Real Model) Stryker offerings? Would you like to show off the contents of any given set so we could drool over them?
Which set of yours has the cooler in it by the way?
Fantastic stamina, keep up the excellent work.

Medivac!!! Now we're talking.
I know now you must be Santa and have 100 elves working for you!
I don't want to be rude or anything but in this link to your site does the box say that it "does not" include Eduard set 36011 additional armor or "it does" include set #36011 additional armor? It says NO include Eduard 36011 additional armor, which means that you do not include it in this set.

Blast stowage set is the best in my opinion. The side racks full of gear look spot on and way better than trying to fit other resin bits in the kit part. I'll do a full review of the 2 sets soon....

Resin tires seem a waste of time to me, might as well cast the kit ones yourself-after all thats all these companies have done, just a way for them to cash in and i dont like it. Legends stowage looks less than perfect as well, lots of old gear they have recycled from other sets, only thing worth getting that for is the MRE's. It really bugs me( a lot!) when companies just recycle stuff from their other sets and thrash it on on the market, without any thought or research, just like Verlinden did with some of their OIF figures-new poses but equipped with old recycled gear from previous est, waste effort and time, and just a way to make an extra buck for them, wish some companies would get their act together!

Ok Scott
This is good news when your PE kit will arrive, please feel free to post your opinion (honest and fair) about it here.

Thanks in advance

Seb

I got the slat armor in today from Lucky Model and my first thought is that it looks pretty imtimidating..I ahve a feeling that building the slat armor will be a long drawn out process for this model

I feel your trepidation here. Exactly how thin is the actual Voyageur slat? Mother aka Joe says that it'll (Eduard slat) bend if you breath on it!
I suspect if some one hasn't tried making a jig yet it can't be done. Perhaps Miloslav can shed some light on his technique???
Good luck with it all you brave man.

You build first slat for Trumpeter kit which is very different from slat for AFV.

Hey Miloslav,
Not so true, the only difference is that the Trumpeter and AVF Eduards slats are that the Trumpeter slat frames are wider and longer by a few millimeters. Other than that all the parts/ pieces are the same in width and thickness. When you first did yours using the Trumpeter slat for the AFV kit you said that you had to cut/shorten the rear section ramp slats, what I did to composite was to lengthen the support bars along the side just under 2mm on each side. Worked like a charm.

I’m not kidding when I said that…really it did happen. Parts like 50, 46, 32 and so on bent easy. Again you have to pat attention to the instruction. Watch for the photos, the are details in the pic that show the parts in which that are positioned.

Perfect Scott
so maybe this week end if you have time you can send us pictures of Voyager kit ??
and discuss with us how is the bending behavior.

BTW how much did you spend on it ?

I will make a overall prize comparison for the PE slat kits ASAP so stay tune.

@Joe, thanks for your help and collaboration with this post.

I have a question for all the Slat builder, it will be worth it to developp a Jig that will go with the kit in order to help the bending and the gluing ???

Tell me what do you think?

Cheers

Miloslav,
Yes I agree (100%) with you on the extra parts, but that’s not what I’m not talking about. In the very beginning of the post it was asked “What about the accuracy”. I compared the slats/supports measurements to the Eduard PE parts. The Eduard support bars are scaled 2 inches while the slats are at 3 inched wide. The spacing is also scaled at 3 inches. That’s what I was trying to get across….

So you say your doing the slat armor for the M1130 CV Stryker, I wished I knew that earlier…any chance I could get a diagram of the support set up for my second CV vehicle. I’m also looking forward to this weekend update.

Thanks,
Joe

While looking at the last photo you posted, is that the AVF slat armor, and the parts marked in (red) are the new parts…if so they are the same parts I have in this PE set, same locations and pieces.

What I find strange is that nobody complained about the lack of the signal horn in the kits or in any AM set:

Voyager has it pictured on their PE sets for the Strykers, but they are not included!

So I emailed Voyager. They said, they are planning it to release, but they don´t know if they really will and when.

Maybe a little pressure helps accelerateing the release of it.
It will include the signal horn and the attachments as a little PE fret.
Here´s the email address of Voyager: [email protected]

Thomas, the large horn on the left side first appeared 1 1/2 - 2 years ago. So it is okay to show the vehicle without that horn on the older vehicles.

It's good to hear WWP's Stryker Part 2 is out soon. Part 1 was very good, in my opinion. Miloslav mentions Part 3 too. That will be a bit different that Parts 1 and 2.

This is a great thread

Joe,

I think that compare real and model slat you can, but first must compare Stryker model with real vehicle.
All producer fit their product on model. If you make of perfect 100% product on bad model, this no fit.
Here is some pics new parts AFV slat. I recommended you look on
www.eduard.cz , search slat and look on instruction sheet pdf.
