So does anyone have a view on the Griffon set. It looks pretty good but has anyone seen it in the flesh, is it dimensionally accurate?

Just checked Great Models Webstore and they are still showing the Griffon set for over $200.00.
I would go and get it at Lucky Models since it is more reasonable. DAMN $200+ compared to $79.99, what a difference.

Does anyone know if this set here from Griffon comes with the top side shields....
Though they list blast shields and I know they mean the shields between the armor and Stryker, but do they also include them into the blast shield description. Those pieces aren't listed in the catalog like the storage racks.
Thanks,
Joe

My assumption Joe, was that they are included in the slat armor set, no other announced sets by Griffin have them. The stowage racks are a separate item that Griffin has announced, along with the basic etch set, they havent listed anywhere any other stryker sets so..... I guess we will have to wait and see once somebody has bought the set, looks damn fine though!

Must be the Chinese engrish that has me totally confused. Based on the writing, I would assume that everything on the box top is included, now if their engrish is off I would assume that it's a separate item.

AFV Club's M-1130 has same p-h parts:
in order to install them you need some spacers (given on parts frame)
these p-h parts, include some spacialized "loops" for the cargo "nets"

Hi guys,
Since this topic is catching some dust, I thought I'll make a short update.
Although I've been very busy with study and work, I still had time to finish my Stryker and to prepare him for the next step: painting.
Right now I'm working on the stowage. The 2 crewmen are ready to be painted.
In short: It's the AFV Club M1126 Stryker, updated with Pro Art Models slat armor and their separate set of sagged wheels. The stowage racks beside the hull are from Blast, the RWS barrel is from Lion Marc Design.
I hope you like what you see.
Greetings,
Hugo Luyten

Dirk from Pro Art told me earlier this week that he is expecting the PE-frets next week, and then they will be ready for shipment, as is the separate set with the sagged wheels.

Hi all,
I've been reading all the above comments, but I'm not sure, there is a general consensus on, what PE sets are the best for the slat armour? To me, the Pro Art resin/etch combo method of doing the slat looks particular nice, but may be I'm missing something?
Price-wise, the Pro Art set aslo seems reasonable to me?
Regards Thomas

This is the purpose of this post
To tell the people decided based on other comments and experience
Since PAM will release soon his set and thanks to Hugo, PAM set seems to be one of the best choice, but we have to wait for other to comment on that

Just a heads up guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want you to all know that Milo of Real Models is an outstanding individual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A few weeks ago, before this thread started or right when it did start, I approached Milo via a PM and asked him if he would consider letting some one review his kits for him. we all know when he finishes a conversion kit or while he is working on one, he posy pictures of the build. I suggested that we, the modelers would benifit see whats actually in one of his kits before it is built. Well, he agreed and just today, I recived in the mail not just one of his Stryker conversion kits, but his latest kit, the M1127 RV with Slat, Blast Panels, and Rhino.
So, hopefully in a week to two weeks, even if i have to stay up till 2 or 3 oclock in the morning, I will bring you guys a very in depth "In Box" review of this kit and after a "Build" article on it coming from a regular Joe Blow modeler.
Let me tell you guys, I NEARLY FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR WHEN I OPENED THE BOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
