Anthony: I can see your point, but the Khaki from Tamiya is actually the wrong color for Canadian infantry. Due to a different type of fabric used by the Canadian factory workers, the Canadian version of Battle Dress was a deeper green, more like an olive drab, in comparison to British Uniforms. To paint those figures I used Osprey's Canadian Forces in World War Two which included excellent color paintings. I've also seen the uniforms in real life, and they are green.
Thanks for the thought, though!
Carmen: Your techniques with your Churchill continue to astound me!

My small update about the crane. It should be fine now. The flexible pipes are a bit thick as I couldn't find thin enough fuse wire

Just started...
Styrene Hull put together, and the first of the resin conversion armor put on. I'll add some of the detail resin next and paint and finish the running gear before adding the rest of the Mexas Hull armor next.
Some pics to give you all an idea where I am. This is a great conversion - I love it !!
Cheers

Getting very close to being done.
I was able to get the decals on today. Some like the wolf's head disk, are slightly out of register. I'll just have to live with it. I'm still quite happy with results so far. OOB with AM decals.
Hope you like it! Guy

Well, I think the build is over now. I have to think about painting it, what do you think ?
I added the working lights and their wiring. BVM issued only two in the kit so I had to make two more from the Revell kit headlights.
I finished by adding the side mirrors.

I've completed the lower hull of my Sherman Mk. III (kit is DML 6313).
Thanks,

A bit of an upate on the C2 Mexas.
The lighting is very poor and orange - the real thing isn't as yellow / orange
The tracks are on, and I've put a little dust on them and the running gear, I'll adjust this when final weathering is done (the running gear will be pretty much covered by the armor / skirts).
The wheels aren't sitting all the way down on the tracks in the pics, but they're ok now...
Cheers

Hey Zaltar !
It's a Leopard 1A2 Italeri hull so medium size I guess. You can see the size of the resin bits in question in the pics !
It's a nice conversion to do... rare at the moment though / hard to get !

A bit more done - the armor is pretty much finished on the Hull.
I LOVE THIS CONVERSION !!
I have just a couple of detail bits to go on the hull and then the rear mudflaps to add -- then the fun on the Turret starts
Cheers

Yes it's a great kit !
A little bit done today...
I've added the PE mudflaps, and also the 1A5 bits to the turrent to get it to the correct level for the C2 Mexas.
Next will be the C2 resin bits to the turret, as well as the Mexas armor
More pics in a few days I hope
Cheers

Guy: Your P-51 looks great! Just remember to post pics on the gallery when you're done!

What Gallery do I post in?
Frankly, I've had a hard time trying to find the space to do any modeling. My hot water tank gave up the ghost and the wife's putting in the garden. Both of these sucker punched my desire to sit at the bench on my time off.
I'm hoping to have my P-51 done next week. Where do I post?

Okay, first you'll want to go into the "PHOTOS" section in the upper menu on the Armorama homepage. Once you're in the Kitmaker galleries, go to "CAMPAIGNS", then "CURRENTLY ACTIVE CAMPAIGNS". Once there, go to "THE TRUE NORTH STRONG AND FREE" and then log in. Next click on the "Upload pictures" in the upper right corner.
That's how you post to the Kitmaker Galleries.
Hope that helped!
