Some really nice work there Olivier.
My CF-18 is finished. It's not a great kit and needs a lot of filler and sanding to make it half decent. It's also not quite a CF-18 - it's missing the searchlight, so I added one. The decals are not much either. Next time Hasegawa and Leading Edge decals.

Paul: Considering the age of the kit and the poor quality of the pieces, you've made this old CF-18 look fantastic! Just post a couple of pics of your finished plane on the photo gallery, and the ribbon is yours!
Congrats on being the first modeller finished!!!

Okay guys, we're pretty much half way through the campaign, but we have only one completed model. Time is beginning to run out. I would advise that if you haven't started your build, you should start soon. I'll probably send out a message to all enlisted members, in case they've forgotten.
I probably shouldn't say anything about not getting much progress done; my Firefly hasn't had any work done in three weeks....
Anyways, good luck with this half of the campaign; it seems that right now, a lot of campaign members finish their campaigns towards the end.
Have Fun!

Sorry, I've barely started my CF-104. Too many things on the go at once, models and other things. I won't say that I won't finish on time, but I can't guarantee that I will either!

Ryan: Don't worry about not finishing; if you're almost done by July 1st, I can definitely give you an extension, for as long as you need
The same goes for anybody else who isn't quite done by the end of the campaign.

Got an unvoluntary stop to my project ! The crane boom has been crushed and I'll have to build a new one. It was just after I managed to figure the hydraulic lines !!
It's not a definitive stop but considering I won't be able to glue something during the next 10 days, it's a pity

Hi
Just thought I might post a progress photo of my P-51 campaign entry.
Obviously, I'm not the most capable modeler, but, I'm in it for the enjoyment. Everytime I build one, I learn a little bit more.
In this case, the primer has exposed my need to improve on filling, polishing, and scribing. Also, I have a horrid time with canopies.
Right after I took the photo, I dropped the model on the concrete floor. It survived with very slight wingtip damage. I intend to model on, and repair it.
Sorry about the poor photo, but, at least I'm consistent.
Tough luck with the boom Olivier. Your a master though, and you'll fix it.

Olivier: Ouch, that pic makes me cringe... Don't worry too much about it, with your talent, it should be fine!
Guy: Your P-51 looks great! You're doing a fine job on the plane; and you're right, it's not about being the best, it's about having fun. I'm far from being a "good" modeller; I have had a lot of "modelling mishaps"

I got some more done on my Firefly today, and I'm hoping to get more by the end of the day. I used the next pieces of PE metal, and thankfully, it wasn't as bad as the grills. Some pieces still aren't fitting very well, but at least I have good filler.
I'm hoping to have some pics up by later today or tomorrow.
Has anybody else had any progress this long weekend?

Hope to see a progress photo soon, Zaltar. Good luck with the project.
I'm still working on my P-51 wingtip repair after dropping it on the floor. Also doing some rescribing and clean-up prior to applying the bare metal finish. I'll post a pic or two when I've put some color to it.

Guy: Glad to hear that everything's alright with your model. Dropping them adds sooo much more stress!
Here's my progress pics; I got a lot more work done on Monday than I expected. I managed to get the majority of the turret and hull done. I've probably only got a few more weekends of assembly, then I can start painting. I'd like to get these decals for it : http://www.ultracast.ca/products/D35/006/default.htm

I joined this campaign with a subject that's quite new to me; 120mm figureconversions.
I want to do 2 Verlinden figures; 1 desert rat and 1 eto-figure and convert them into Canadians to honour a part of our liberators that deserve much more credit than given. It is also meant to remember the heavy fighting in the Goch/Kleeve area during Operation Veritable.

Hey Zaltar,
Ultracast got the AoS marking wrong for the British Columbia Regiment's decals.
You'll want to replace the blue/green square and white 53 with a white 53 on a red square.
I can't find the photos but the BCR's gate guard Sherman and Ram tanks have the correct markings.
If you can, go down to the Beatty Street Armoury and take a look.
This site will help.
Cheers

Hi all, with regret I must back out of this campaign. I don’t have the time to do this campaign and the ones that I am running over at MSW. I thought I would have more time, but stuff happens.

Some good news for Project Firefly: I finished off assembly this afternoon. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can start priming and painting so that my diorama can be started.

Hi
I'm looking forward to seeing some color on your project, Zaltar. It coming along nicely.
Just thought I might post some progress shots of my project. I'm just an old beginner, so please go easy. Looking for some criticism to help me along though.
I have a few days off, so if the wife dosen't whip me into the garden, I hope to get some more done. Having fun with it anyway.

While waiting for my photo etch bending tool to arrive (and thus start work on my Sea Fury with the Eduard Big Ed) I ended up finding the Origami campaign (to do the Sea Fury for) plus a new model for this one. So, change of plans, I going to build the Dragon Sherman Mk. III (DML 6313) with Canadian Sherman Storage Boxes, Decals and Tank Commander from Ultracast. For a Dragon kit the parts count is relatively low as the tracks are DS and not individual links.
Thanks,
Karl

Hey Zaltar,
I finally found a photo of "BOSS", the M4A2 gate guard out front of the British Columbia Regiment's Beatty Street Armoury here in Vancouver:
http://community.webshots.com/photo/fullsize/2617268590092933776GFuNMg
As you can see, the AoS is a white 53 on a red square.
Cheers

Guy: You're really moving along quickly You did a great job on the decals on the propeller, because I always seem to lose, destroy or rip the ones that I do.
Karl: Nice looking kit, what theater are you going to set it in?
John: Thanks for the pic, that'll be really useful when I get the decals (still haven't had time to order them...)

his main uniform which youve painted green is wrong
the colour its suppose to be is a khaki colour tamiya do a normal khaki cant remember the number atm for it or vallejo do english uniform 141 these two colour which ive pointed out are the right colour and would make you infantry men more realistic to a canadian soldier =]
