The resin Turret armor and bustle are on, and the next step is all the turret and other details

The electronic counter measures device and it's armor is a bit of a pain ATM. And I need to 'suss' that out...

Here are a couple of pics of what I've done so far :

Cheers

Hello Gents, i just joined this campaign. I'm building the Dragon Mk Ic Hybrid Firefly in the markings of The South Alberta Regiment, 4th Armoured div, Canadian Army.

I was born in Toronto so I had to join this campaign. Hope I can finish by July!

Satch

Hey Scott !

Is that the new Dragon Smart Kit ? (6228)

I have it too (and a spare ), it'll be one of my Shermies in the Sherman Campaign..

Paul

No, it's the old Imperial series 9037. I've got a lot of the old Dragon stuff in my stash.

Congrats Miloslav! Although one other person has finished, you are the first to post you picture to the gallery, therefore, making you the first to win the ribbon!

Good Morning

Well, I've completed my P-51 to a point I'm quite happy with. Placed a few photos in the campaign gallery. Thanks for the processing education Zaltar.

These are a couple more photos.

I know I've made errors, and have learned from them for the next one's sake. Honestly, though, this is the first static model that I've finished in over 28 years. Started a bunch, just never finished them. And I had a great deal of fun with this one. Really hope it catches you. Guy

Guy: Your P-51 looks fantastic, and the markings are really eye catching!

On July 1st you will receive your ribbon, along with Miloslav!

Congrats and I hope you enjoyed the campaign!!

Here is where I am so far with my Husky. I just started weathering it by applying oil dots over a coat of gloss varnish .

Olivier: The paint really brings out the detail in the Husky. It looks even better now than it did before!

Thanks a lot Zaltar.
Here is it with some mud on it and the tools attached. I still have to make some decals for the registration plates and maybe a unit marking.

Hi all,
I think I'm done and this will be the last update with the Husky. I gave up trying to print my own vehicle registration plates as my printer is out of order. One day in the future, I can add them anyway.

Here are the pics. I'll post more in the campaign gallery if I can find it

Congrats Olivier on completing the "True North Strong and Free Campaign"! Your updates have been fantastic!

I must say that I find it amusing that out of the three completed models so far, only one was made by a Canadian...

Well, I'm finally ready for the first coat of green paint. I started of by painting it all black (except for the parts I forgot to put on ) to create a shadow for the overcoats. I then placed the wheels, which were quite a pain in the neck, being as the instructions did not show where they were to be attached to the hull.

zaltar

P.S. How are the rest of you doing? We've got just over a month to finish off, and I will offer extensions to those who ask.

Nice work on the Sherman so far, Zaltar. I find the figure especially pleasing. Good job.

Here is my finished Dieppe Churchill Mk I - BOLSTER

I'm still having issues uploading my pictures to the campaign album on Kitmaker. Can somebody send me a PM and give me directions? I followed Gary Kato's instructions but it won't load to the Campaign album. Cheers!

Well, in between everything else I'm doing right now, I've started on the diorama base for my Firefly. It's just going to be a basic crossroads out of foam, with a few objects scattered here and there.

Since I took this picture, I've started carving the foam and adding heights, and ditches beside the road. I'll probably buy some round popsicle stick like stuff to build a fence; I decided against styrene because with wood, all that I have to do is stain it and it looks like real wood, whereas with plastic I would need to paint it. Next, I'll finish the heights and put plaster on the top. I'll use that to raise the road, and round it off slightly at the top.

Almost ready for priming on the C2 Mexas, I just need to finish off a bit of stowage, add the loaders MG, and finish the bars on the grenade launcher racks.

Pics in the next few days

Sounds great Paul!

Is anybody else getting any work done? I really hope that we're not dying out at the end...

I've been busy.

The 'Real Model' Crew couldn't wait to get into the 'Beast'... so I accomodated them

I need to add the loaders' MG, the stowage and towcable (and its attachment points).

I also want to add the water bottles to the RH aerial too

Here is where I'm at :

Primer and base coat soon

Not long now ...

Cheers

Paul,
your figures look great and are the perfect supplement to your fine C2.
I can't wait to see it with some paint on.

Paul: the figures truly bring your model to life, I can't wait to see the finished product after painting!

I'm hoping to get a first coat of dark green on in the next few days for my Firefly, then it will only be a quick finish. If any of you aren't finished the campaign build on July 1st, I will be offering extensions if you send me a message.

We're really on the home stretch, let's get it done!
