Cheers!

Have not given up yet ! The Crab seems to have an unending number of small details that require carefull assembly if not pure scratching - here is the state of things this afternoon:

I will try to pull out all the stops to get this in some paint before the (thankfully extended) deadline.

Best,

Konrad

Hi Konrad, even if you don't get it painted, the finished build would look great in the gallery with all that work put into it.

Konrad: That looks seriously kick-arse! I'm going to keep on trucking with you and see how far I can get with my Hetzer... before it meets that huge chain flail on your Crab

Konrad, looks great! it would be a shame if this one wasn't finished in time. PM me if next sunday your time isn't enough! Maybe we can figure something out. Maybe a week more?

Cheers!

Hey Stefan
How do I get a hold of the campaign banner?

Better yet, when I go to modify my profile all I can do is change my email address. anyone know what is up with that?

@ Jeremy and Stefan: Thanks for your comments.
Jeremy, I‘m looking forward to see your Hetzer and cross my fingers for a smooth running on the last mile.

@ Bud: Great work on your Kübelwagen and the Tiger! „Supporting supply“ is on its way!

@ Konrad: What an amazing multi media build. All these mounted parts are changing the silhouette of the Sherman totally.

Here‘s my update:

Cheers
Matt

You need to grab the URL of the banner. You can do this by right-clicking on a banner in someone else's profile and choosing "Copy Image URL". Then go to your user settings and paste it into the box labelled "URL for Signature Image" then click the "Save Changes" button.

Not sure why it isn't letting you change just your email address. Everything seems to work for me.

Hey Gary,
Thanks much. Got it worked out. Turns out at some point during some site changes I needed to reconfirm my email addy - all is good now.

Thanks Matt! I've finished the major parts of the surgery (I do not recommend the Eduard 1/48 Hetzer PE for beginners). Now I just need to take care of all of the little straps and handles and I'll be ready to paint Your Blitz is outstanding, can't wait to see it assembled

Thanks for the encouragement Greg, been a bit mad finding the time to finish the KV and balancing it with work home life etc, but I may just make it, just the weathering to do tomorrow then it's take a few snaps and pop them in the gallery................

Well guys I finally did it, one KV finished and final pictures in the gallery, it's not the best in there but I'm really pleased the way it looks, although the photos I took don't really capture how it looks in the flesh. Now it's confession time, it's the first kit I've finished in about the last 2 years, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think that a few more 1/48 kits will be getting built, lovely little scale, very underated and a nice change to my usual 1/35. Thanks Stefan for a well run campaign, and well done everyone for all your great work.... now off to finish my next campaign entry, yet another 1/48 Tamiya KV

Hi all,
I declare my Opel Blitz finished now! The reduced kit's decals of the DAK palm tree are bothering me so that I'm looking for some replacement in the future.

It‘s my second armour build ever. But it definitely won‘t be the last...

@ Stefan: Thank you very much for running this great campaign. I literally enjoyed it to the very end!

@Jeremy: Thanks for your nice words. I‘m crossing my fingers for you having a good run with your Hetzer - would be great to see it joining the troop.

@ Jason: Congrats on finishing your impressive KV!

And here are some picts of the Blitz:

Cheers

You bet Matt, and your build came out very stunning! I look forward to trying your painting techniques once I get used to using my airbrushes.
Thanks for the wishes, the only thing that will be holding me back will be the painting process. Needless to say I will NOT be doing the Ambush scheme
