Thanks guys! I can never have enough jeeps in the collection! Im actully starting work on a series for SMMI covering Willys MB/ Ford GPW jeeps (and maybe toss in a M38 as well). This was #1, with #2 being a rocket launching jeep, #3 is based on the famous pic of a jeep and crew that escaped from behind enemy lines during the Kasserine Pass battles. #4 is a "Depot mule" cut down and coverted jeep with a large pushing plate in the front and various tools in the rear.
Also in the wings will be some SAS jeeps, Pattons jeep, "streached" jeep, follow me jeep, USN jeep, USMC Holden medical jeep, cable layer, Airborne, and various others depending on what catches my interest. Im also looking into ways I can do a half-track jeep too! Im trying to base all the models on actual pictures.
thanks again for the comments!
Andy

Hello again.
I've been working on the Jeep. Got some detail painting done such as the seats, tools and other stuff. Also got most of the decals on.
Got a ways to go yet. Just hope I get it done.
Here are the latest photos.

Looking good Delbert!
I noticed this morning that the markings you have on your jeep are illustrated on the back of the new Squadron jeep "In Action"!

Me again...
and Hi Andy.. I didn't know that about the markings. The Tamiya kit comes with 5 decaling options. I'm using the 5th Armored Division 95th Armored Field Artillery Battalion Service Company No. 4.. Normandy Summer 1944, or so say the instructions..
I'm working on scuffing up the jeep a bit.. and getting it a tad weathered. My wife said it looks like I am messing up my "petty" green jeep.
Will post some photos of it when I'm further along.. in the meantime here are a couple of photos of some gear that I've been working on for my jeep.
as usual later fellows..

I still wanted to add some stowage to my IBG Radio truck but I won't have time for that. I finished this afternoon some weathering, will post the pics until the end of the week.

By the way, I've finally gotten around to taking final photos of my Citroen. It could have more weathering and it could certainly been a better model... but too many distruptions during building and lack of enthusiasm did not allow for it.

Emre and Delbert, you've done some fine work! I'd say the weathering you've done is quite satisfactory.
For myself, I still have what, 4 more days, to finalize my humvee. It won't get too much weathering either, but it'll be done!
Also, Emre, I think you had told me about using my Krystal Kleer for the lenses, and that worked great. Until now, I had been putting food coloring in Future Floor Polish to do my various amber and red lights, but that pooled up too much. Food coloring in the thicker Kleer worked better.
Thanks,
Sean H.

No problem Sean Problem with clear varnishes is that they tend to pool up and they have high viscosity, so you can't stretch them like Kristal Klear. It's very easy to make lenses unless they are of the convex type, like on my Citroen. Then I guess you need to find MV lenses, but I haven't been able a find a good supplier who will ship them to Turkey for a reasonable price.

Hello folks,
Does anyone need an extension to complete their projects? So far I've been contacted by only one person. If there's a small group who would like an extension I'll see what I can do.

Hi Emre,
I might need a short extension, but won't be sure until Sunday evening. If I finish mine early enough to get pics Sunday afternoon then all will be well, but if I don't get done in time to catch the daylight my photos might have to wait until Tuesday. (I'm out on site on Monday...)

Great work Lapman! Your digital camo looks excellent.
If there's a general need, there might be a one-month extension if our campaigns übermaster Gary agrees.

Hi Emre,
After all my concerns about time, I had a real push last night and finished it up in one go! Sure, there are accessories I can still add, but I'm calling this one done. It was a fun kit, and being big (1:24 scale) it was really detailed. The only downers were the solid rubber tyres (they'll split eventually) and the ill-fitting parts of the driver.
The look I was aiming at was a DAK vehicle that arrived in-theatre in grey paint (as most of the German vehicles did in 1941), was sprayed tan in the field, and is now flaking back to grey again. "Dirt" was applied subtly to keep from overwhelming the base colours and details.
I'd be tempted to get another just to explore the diorama potential...
I put two pics in the campaign gallery:
and these are in my own gallery:
It's been a fun campaign!

Great build, Emre. Very nice finish.
Lapman, great digital camo. Looks like just of the parade ground.
Very nice build, Tom. The worn desert paint looks excellent.
Thanks for participating with your great builds.

Nice desert camo, Tom.
I've wrapped mine up,
...but in the coming months I hope to come back to it and add dust. Mine is only dry-brushed. My printer was acting up and the flag stripes aren't a vibrant red, but rather almost gray, so I'll have to reprint that later and reapply too.
Anyway, fun campaign! Thanks all!
