Thomo: You mean literally the same frames from the 60's?
David: That sounds nice, I think it'd make a great addition to the campaign.
Yes the same 40 yr old aircraft. I think there are 14 frames with nine in the air. The airforce muesum here was given an airframe from the states and it had less hours than the ones we are flying in. They are due for replacement in the next year or so.

Wow, the only time I've seen those models is when they are put on display at the air bases over here in the States. I got to see some of the newer models up close and personal. The mechanic on duty was closing up shop, but was kind enough to let me check out the egg beaters and answer a lot of questions I had, however he wouldn't let me take any pictures, which was understandable.

Gday all, have enlisted.Looking forward to this one, might do around 6 builds in 1:72,time permitting.
I'am planning to do some kiwi equipment for the campaign and was wondering if anyone could help with a coupla questions I have about kits I'm looking at using.
I have a 1:72 Dragon Sherman Mk.III (2007) i picked up recently,is this the sherman used by the NZ division in North Africa/Tunisia??? And if so could anyone point me in the direction of unit markings/paint schemes?
I have also been looking at the 1:72 IBG truck releases of the Chevrolet C15 series. I believe these were used by NZ (and Aust.) units in North Africa?
Did they use both the no.11 and no.13 cabs? And again if anyone has any info. on paint colours, (same as British)?
I'am looking at doing an Infantry lorry belonging to the 28th Maori Battalion, for something a bit different. I recently picked up some Aust./NZ decals from Milicast while i was in Scotland and they have the 28th unit markings as white 38 in black square?
One final question, the decal sheet has silver ferns in black squares and black circles, are these year or equipment specific?
Sorry to ask so many questions but though it better to ask than just take a "guess". Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I've just got back in to modeling this year after a many years away and was stoked to see all the potential Aussie and Kiwi vehicles that could be done now with all the new kits and companies around. When I was last modeling it was just airfix, matchbox and esci. How times have changed!
Cheers,
Tim

I'm in.
The toughest part will be deciding what to build. I've been going all out Oz lately with the shelf at the moment consisting of a number of Aus kits: the trumpeter ASLAV, the new Tamiya M13/41, an AFV Club Centurion, a Tamiya Matilda with the firestorm Aus conversion kit, four of the M113 family and I have the new Bushmaster on order.
Decisions, decisions...

Thanks for the picture, Michael. Some really nice details there - especially since the resolution is so high.
Thanks, Mate

No release date as yet.
Cheers Jason

ASLAV's are pretty popular. The trumpeter kit looks like one, but you need the Mouse House corrections to make an accurate one. There is the Bushmaster IMV coming out soon, AFV make a vietnam era Centurion tank. Also Dragons M1A2 with the Mouse House Aussie conversion to make an aussie abrams. There are also some WW2 tanks to convert to aussie armour.
Also we used M-113's and the Leopard 1 tank as well.

I added the ribbon to the campaign page. I think I picked the right ribbon. It seems the procedure for uploading a ribbon image has changed as well (for the better)!

While doing some research into a kit purchase, I found this website. Will be helpful to those wanting to do NZ armour for the campaign
