Tom: I hear ya! Will be in the same boat myself more than likely. I have that A7V in my stash as well. There is a great little book that was released last summer on the A7V that includes line drawings of each vehicle

Guido: I would love to take a look at that article if you can find it

Jeremy, that'll be the Tankograd book, which I've got sitting on my shelf! A must for anyone building an A7V.

Guido, I'd like a look at that article if you can scan it or something - thanks!

Guido: Awesome

Occam: Great choice! Would be great if we could get a St. Chamond build in here as well

Ian: Welcome to No Man's Land

Tom: Agreed! I've got one on my shelf as well

I have this figure on the WB right now and it's fantastic (as are all of the Masterclub WWI figures). He is a badass, that is why I bought him and why I think he prove a popular figure once word get out. Word of advice, the resin is very rigid, so if you haven't already done so, be careful cutting the figure from the casting block, I snapped the left ankle on both the copies I have painted. Attaching the head can be a bit tricky as well, other than that this is very nice figure. The rats are fragile too.

I haven't bought it yet. Im trying to find it on a european site.^^
But thx for the advise. I will be carefull when assembling it. I've had problems with resin figures before ... I just wish this figure was available in a larger scale.

Can't help you w/ a European stockist sorry. Will post pcs of my figure (won't be a campaign entry) ASAP.

I'm in.Lots of good choices been picked already. Will do a couple of braille scale tanks.Something British (maybe a Whippet) and either a French AFV or the A7v. We have the only surviving A7V right here in Brisbane in the museum,it's a fascinating vehicle to look at, if somewhat ugly.
Will resin kits be ok? I have some plastic British kits but French tanks are not available in Braille scale plastic kits as far as i'm aware.
November start sounds good. Would the 11th be appropriate for a start date for a WW1 campaign?
Cheers,
Tim

Guido: Much thanks!

Tim: ANY material is OK! Heck, if you wanted to build a 1:1 replica out of stone, metal, or wood it would be perfectly eligible for this campaign
And excellent call on a start date, and perfect timing as I am about to fill out the campaign submission

Tim,
You have a Great idea ! I agree the 11th of November would be a great start time for this new build. I haven't really made up my mind on a subject yet, but I also have plenty of time to consider the many options. Although I have to say, it will most likely have wings. So what does everyone else think of the 11th as a start date ?

Take it easy...........Bruce......

I would like two clarifications to the campaign rules:

1. Must construction start after the start date or are already started kits allowed?

2. Are builds for other campaigns allowed?

Gary, thank you for bringing those questions to my attention.

1) Already started kits:
If only one or two pieces have been glued together then STOP, I will allow the kit for this campaign.
If the kit is mostly finished or completed, I will allow it for this campaign provided that it is either rebuilt or used as part of a diorama that is constructed for the purposes of this campaign.

2) Builds from other campaigns:
I will allow builds from other campaigns provided that new elements unique to this campaign are added. ie:
Figures to accompany vehicle(s)
Vehicle(s) to accompany figure(s)
Figure(s) to accompany figure(s)
Vehicle(s) to accompany vehicle(s)
Diorama/Vignette to accompany a build
A build to accompany a diorama/vignette
etc.

Let me know if you need any more info

I'm in too!
Okay, 9 months to wait for this build to begin. One could make an actual person in that amount of time-- I've got enough, I'm sticking to models. I'm just saying.
At least plenty of time to finalize a plan and buy a kit or two.

Looking forward to building some "landships".
Thanks for starting this one up Jeremy, it'll really motivate me to get stuck into the WW1 kits I have been wanting to build in the stash!
Maybe i'll even have a go at building a Dio, I've only ever made one before, plenty of options....
Cheers,
Tim

Sean: Lol, good one Hopefully most of us will be finished up with the slew of campaigns we have been involved in this year by the time this one starts

Tim: You bet, and thanks for joining I've had a 1/35 Whippet and A7V sitting around for quite a while, and have been eyeing a lot of the sweet looking small scale landship kits out there as well as the seemingly endless supply of awesome aircraft kits out there. Not sure what I'm going to go with myself on this one, although I swear that Whippet and the A7V whisper to me in my sleep

Is there anything in particular anyone would like to see on a campaign ribbon or banner?
