Jeremy,
I've enlisted. Sounds like a very good campaign to me. I'll be putting together an armored car with a few figures in 72nd scale.

Jeremy -
if you are referencing the MB Models MK IV Male in resin - that is a very cool kit, I built one back in the day when they first appeared. Hopefully you have the later run kits with the metal track links rather than the early resin ones - they were a PITA to cleanup and use.
Stephen
Indeed I am Stephen, and mine is the later run based on the inclusion of metal tracks. I'm leaning on building that one as I've had quite a bit of generous help in researching it here on Armorama
Eddy: Very nice, I hope that we get to see a lot of armored cars in this campaign. Which car are you going to be building if I may ask?

Thanks for adding the ribbon to the official campaign page Gary!
Is there a way to add this as the official banner?

I was on an award uploading binge.
There should be a field where you stick in the URL of the banner image that you can change. I didn't add the banner as I wasn't sure if it was going to change or not.

No need to worry about changing URLs, I try to keep all the banners for everything on the same URL to keep it from being deleted.

I just enlisted. I was going to build the SMS Emden for the "Cruisin for a Bruisin" campaign on Model Shipwrights, but I only got as far as posting pics of the open box before I switched to the Pola. So, I'll be building the Revell 1/350 Emden.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Hello,
this is another campaign i would like to enlist in, the time lines are goods for me and the great war is a so rare topic, but for the planes.
I want to completly scrath build one of the first french tanks (i wanted this since a long time but i did not have enough motivation and this campaign gives me some) , Schneider or St Chamond (probably Schneider ).
So is this good or not ?
Cheers

Nico: Great, looking forward to your work! Scratchbuilds are always fun to watch
Randy: Well this campaign is open to everything, so there's plenty to choose from. If you're getting into the figure groove there are plenty of nice ones to choose from I personally am having a hard time deciding myself. I think that what I really want to do is take on the resin job that I never started. If it goes well then I'll probably be pumped up enough to take on the conversion work to make an accurate piece out of that horrid 1/35 A7V.. need some German's with gas masks to run along side the thing... decisions decisions

Bob: You can't knock an FT-17. That kit will take a bit of work to make a good representation, but that's no different that most WWI styrene AFV kits out there and it's probably no more time consuming than rigging the aircraft would be
I was looking at that Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter myself today. You can bet that there won't be many night fighters in the campaign, although I'm partial to that Fokker D.VII. The E.V. has the benefit of being a monoplane and probably not as much of a PITA to rig as multi-winged aircraft.
You can't go wrong with any of them for sure

That's not bad looking at all, how were the tracks to work with?
I was looking at the IJA version back before I joined Kitmaker, but those FT-17s have become collector's items and kinda pricey now.

Jeremy, the tracks are thick rubber bands and mine were mishapened by sitting in the box wrong. I never did get them to conform just right so I just put more mud on them. There is a better photo in my gallery.

Ready to go with my 1/48 Roden Nieuport 28c1...can't wait to begin the sucker! Is this going to be the thread for the build logs or will that be handled elsewhere? Thanks, and looking forward to a great campaign

Bob: I see what you mean on the tracks. There were some AM ones in styrene or resin some time ago, but I haven't seen them in a while.
Also I have learned that the Fokker D.VII had some pretty stout wings that did not require rigging, so that may be something to consider
Robby: No sir, this will be the home for everyone's build photos. Of course you could always make your own build log, but there's really no reason to do that when you can post your photos here.
Those Nieuports are classy looking aircraft, have you chosen your color scheme yet?

Very good then, looking forward to it! I'm just getting into WWI aircraft myself and will most likely build one for this campaign too. If I remember right, Rickenbacker's bird sported the "hat-in-ring'?

Sweet deal! I haven't had a chance to try one of those out myself, I'm still using the old durable Paasche airbrushes that I've had forever.
