Enlisted. Here is my subject:

British Light Machine Gunner, 1918
120mm resin kit

Picked it up at a show over this past weekend. I liked the expression on his face and his "thumbs up" gesture. Includes a nice little cobblestone base, as if he's marching to the front lines. Will have a small engraved plaque with either "Confidence" or "To The Front" engraved on it. Plus I have nine months to get my figure painting skills up to snuff for this crowd.

Hi Jeremy. You've dragged me in ! I have just ordered the newly released Hasegawa 1/6th Clerget 9B Engine/Stand (see review HERE ) and will build it for this Campaign. It will be going in a display box along with a 1/28 Revell Sopwith F1 Camel that I am building for the King of the Skies Campaign on the Early Aviation forum. The third part of the display will be the centre section of the propellor from an original Sopwith Camel, which can be seen in the KotS thread.

This will be an amazing Group Build Jeremy, judging by the interest level and the variety of builds put forward, excellent idea !!

Cheers, D

Matt: I really like the "thumbs up" and the confident facial expression as well. I'm leaning towards the title "Confidence" Will be a cool build for sure!

Damian: Thanks, and glad to have you with us! Awesome choice for a build too. I have a few of the Roden 1/32 WWI piston engines that I may build for this campaign if I don't build some kind of aircraft. Wanted to try out Alclad paints on them.
I remember you mentioning the display project in one of the threads over on Aeroscale and have been looking forward to it ever since

I've been keeping semi-regular updates for enlistment and such, but I encourage regular posting You'll have plenty of support from this group when tackling that old school monster

Hey guys, a certain estore has been brought to my attention that has a few useful items that otherwise can be awkward to find for those of us living in North America:

Michigan Toy Solder Co.

I wasn't sure if you already had a banner and ribbon in mind, but here's my suggestion; I made it today when I was bored

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I would be willing to design another if you wanted

Great work Zaltar! The ribbon is very cool, you may want to pull the text away from the edges though, like you did on the bottom of the "1918". I'm not sure what image editing software you are using, but the text on the banner could use an outline, maybe white? Let me know if you need help trying that out.

So what do you guys think of Zaltar's work here guys?
If you all like the ribbon, then I'll go ahead and submit it officialy

Ah, yes, I see what you mean with the text on the edges of the ribbon, it is very very close. I'll try to change that

I'll also try making an outline of the text, and see how that looks.

Thanks for your opinion!

Looks great Zaltar!

One question, and this is for everyone, the banner state "campaign on Armorama". Technically this is correct because it is being hosted here on Armorama, but it is a Kitmaker University campaign and I don't want anyone who's building something other than armor to feel awkward about it. It may not be an issue, but I want to address it before I set it as the official banner. Does this need to be changed guys, or is everyone ok with it?

Great work on the banner and ribbon Zaltar! They look great.

As for the banner, if it's "Campaign on kitmaker university" would it encourage some other builders of wingy things, ships etc to join in?
I'm easy either way, just thinking out loud
This is gunna be a great campaign, dont see much WW1 stuff on here.

Thanks all, I'm glad that you like it.

The reason that I put that it's on Armorama is because the forum topic is only on this site, so there's no confusion about which site to find the progress on it. I've done this for other campaign ribbons just to avoid any confusion.

Jeremy,
Count me in. I was literally just about to "break ground" on the Emhar Mk IV Male for the British Armor Campaign. So now it will go back on the shelf and I will start on a Cromwell or such the British Armor Campaign while waiting!

Zaltar: I'm good with that. If there are no objections, I will make these the official banner and ribbon

Stephen: LOL, good choice! I may be joining you with a MK IV in resin if I can figure out a few little issues first

Reporting sir!

I haven't decided what to build yet. I have a Emhar's Mk A and Mk IV "Female" in the stash. Or maybe I'll get one of those cool-looking Masterclub figures.

Welcome to the front lines soldier!

We can never have enough Mk series landships in a WWI campaign, and those Masterclub figures look top notch. Can't go wrong either way!

Jeremy -
if you are referencing the MB Models MK IV Male in resin - that is a very cool kit, I built one back in the day when they first appeared. Hopefully you have the later run kits with the metal track links rather than the early resin ones - they were a PITA to cleanup and use.
