Just throwing out an idea here, would anyone be interested in a WWI campaign?
I'm thinking Kitmaker University for this one, plenty of opportunity for early aircraft as well as figures and Naval vessels.
Probably late this year, maybe November unless you all want to start earlier, and for six months.
Let me know what you guys think

I might be in Im doing a trench dio in the winter warriors campaign so that should be a good training prior to doing a WWI trench

Sounds interesting. Had my eyes on a couple of WWI fighter planes for a while and this would be the perfect excuse to buy them.
Cheers!

If it's November or later, I'm in. I've been thinking of doing a Sopwith Camel or a MkV Male. I'd do a Renault FT-17 if I could find a decent kit. Anyway, If the campaign is a go, I'll have time to decide.

Pat: Keeping my fingers crossed for that one, you gotta love those Rolls Royce armoured cars
Darek: Thanks!
Simon: Yes, I'm watching your build progress
Stefan: You bet, that's what campaigns are for! I have my eye on a few myself
Randy: Sweet, you have very cool ideas for campaign builds
Sean: Me too! I'll probably build at least one fighter plane and one armoured vehicle myself. By all means build a pigeon truck! I think I've only seen one scratchbuilt in braille scale which was very cool indeed, now I want to do some reasearch on those
Axel: That's what I'm banking on, most of us should be refreshed from the massive onslaught of campaigns by then
Just fyi for all, this campaign will be open to existing builds if you want to create a diorama for them. As far as I'm concerned, dioramas are legitimate entries in their own right and I count them as a build for campaign purposes.

Since I won't be able to get everything finished that I planned for the Over the Top Campaign on HF (more ideas than painting time), I'm in.

Anyone got some webshops(prefer european) who sell ww1 figures (1/35) ?
They have only got one kit at my local shop and I don't know the quality of it..and they won't let me open it to see the sprues. And it's pretty expensive.. so won't just buy it. thx

Gents,
A WWI campaign sounds great for the latter part of the year. I might suggest a longer campaign though, only because the "Wing Wipers" among us take a little longer with all the rigging !
At any rate....I'm in no matter. This one will probably be something with wings !

Kenny: Great choice, and glad to have you on board! She looks great with the rigging if you choose to add it
Simon: Can't help you there, but may have some insight on the figures if you wouldn't mind letting us know what kit you were looking at.
Bruce: Ah yes, I haven't taken the rigging into account... Would 9 months suffice?

Jeremy,
9 months sounds good to me. Especially if some of our group want to jump into a Wing Nuts kit in 1/32 scale - they might need the time.
Personally, I'll probably go with a 1/72 scale. Oh Boy....Another Campaign !!!!

I was looking around the interweb (internets? ) to find a decent 1/35 truck kit for a starting point, but they don't seem to exist. Even the Fords out there are out of production and questionable in quality anyway, although the Polish Model T armored cars looked kind of neat. I might use a Lindberg 1/32 Model T, cheating the scale a bit, to make an ambulance or something similar.
Still looking.
thanks again,
Sean.

Jeremy: Oh man..Im afraid I can't remember who made the kit. It's a couple of weeks ago I was in the shop. There was about 3 german figures in the set who were running through a trench throwing grenades :/

Bruce: Yes, those kits are quite impressive and probably hefty projects.
I'm good with 9 months, does that work for everyone here?
Sean: There is no restriction on scale here, unless you are looking at using 1/35 figures with the truck. As far as I'm concerned you are welcome to convert a 1/25 truck
Simon: Hmm, I can't say that I remember seeing anything like that before. If you have a cell phone with a camera in it then you could use it to take pictures of things you may be interested in while you are looking around at hobby shops. Then you know what kit(s) to research online

Jeremy,
9 months sounds Great to me. Even if folks do not engage in a major project build, they may be enticed to do several small ones. Personally, I think they deserve special recognition for that. Nothing major, maybe just a star on their campaign ribbon to denote multiple builds ?
And before anyone gets the idea this is for me, forget it. I am a notoriously slow builder in my old age, but I really enjoy it quite a bit more. I am really looking forward to these builds for this campaign. Take it easy Gang, ......Bruce ..
