Thanks for the comment, Dazza. I have made a start on the Historic plastic model kit. However, the quality is extremely bad. The casting is of set on all parts so impossible to build with a nice result.
Basically the kit is going straight in the trash. I think it is the first time in 20+ years of modeling I throw out an entire kit. At least what I can remember.
I will still build my basic idea, but with a different kit. More to follow.

More progress...
Thinned down the plastic on the buckled hull top, trying to represent an internal explosion/fire after some demolition charges have gone off.
Next will use a mix of the kit and these wheels...
I've cut out the suspension stops as well, to look like the torsion bars are buckled under the heat.

As much as I love my initial project, I'm going to have to change it for the time being. It's a pretty nifty little vignette in 1/35. I'll have to wait until I get a new camera to post photos as my current one lost its ability to focus.

Great to see some movement on this thread. Looking forwards to seeing some knocked out armor.
@Jesper Can't wait to see how you go about the water build. I have always wanted to try but never had the guts in case I destroyed a model build I liked I need to get some more time to build so I can try one!
@Duncan Nice build so far mate. The wheels will really add to the effect when it is painted .
@ david roberts Nice detail on the interior mate. The wear on the white paint in the turret pieces look awesome. How are you going to KO that beast?

Jeremy.... Looking forward to seeing what your working on?
David..... Like your Tiger1, the interior is great, what kit is that in there? I was checking out the WheatCroft Collection last night and I was struck with their PantherA and you Tiger interior (I do hope that this collection eventually gets put on public display)
Slow progress on my Panther at the moment, the little details are taking their time, hopefully an update soon.

Looks fantastic David. It has the perfect weathering for the dio. The detailed damage around the wheels and tracks really adds to the build.

Couldn't agree more with you more Dazza excellent work on that Tiger1 David.
I come to the conclusion that me and PE (the small stuff) don't mix well and life is to short so work on the Panther F is moving again. At the moment I'm carefully cutting out the hull-hatch plate to flop down over the front, may but a bit off interior in there yet...?
I started my late war PantherG but have yet to post up in that campaign yet but here's a peek!
Primer hull and turret tops with green camo sides to come.

Hey Duncan love the rust colours you got on the panther.
I done over a pz4 I made as a kid into a wreck. It came out pretty well but I just used pigment powder to get the rust colours. I wish I had painted it how you have you panther first as an under coat. I think the pigments would've looked far more natural.
I will include some pics to provide ideas for others, gotta keep my favorite thread alive and kicking
(My good camera died so you will have to excuse the poor qual)

Hi guys, hope you all had a good Christmas!
Good to see some more movement on this thread. Very tempted to add another one if I can get some more time during the break.
Looking forwards to seeing where you take that Panzer 1 SGTJKJ.
Like the look of the Panther so far Klinker. What are you going to do with the lifted roof plate? I see it and am thinking ammo blow out?

I have changed my mind to a heavily shot up KV-1.....only to change my mind again last night to a storm panzer brummbar. So the brummbar will be my entry into this campaign.

Here is the picture I will use as inspiration. I will not make this particular vehicle, but something close to it.

Hi guys, just saw this campaign thread. I'm not in this one, but thought I'd mention that I just added a gallery to my website of 334 photographs of Destroyed, Damaged, and Abandoned AFV's.
Its still a little rough and everything is in one large gallery, later I may change it to 3 or 4 galleries, anyway I thought I'd mention it to this thread. Here is the link
Destroyed AFVs Photograph Collection
some samples from the gallery.

Happy new year everyone.
I will be participating in this campaign with Esci's 1/72 Pz 35(t).
.
I plan to model a K.O. vehicle that has been abandoned in the field for a long time.

Very cool library, Delbert. great pictures. A lot I have not seen before.
I am making slow progress on my Brummbar, but it is a very cool kit.
Each assembly is super detailed. Take the boggies as an example. They are each comprised of 16 parts. That is 128 parts for the boggies alone and I have not even started on the hull or tracks.

Klinker, the first shot was taken in Greece. The tanks were crossing the river in the Pinios Gorge after pushing the Kiwis out of Platamon. I would say they were fairly quickly recovered by the advancing Germans.
