I found the time to make some progress on the model.
I'll be showing a badly charred and rusty vehicle.
Preety much done with the burned section and have started working on the front part.
Some pics :
More soon, P.A.

Love the effect you got with the burnt out back end on that one. Looks extremely realistic mate, good work.

I've just enlisted for the duration of this one, yesterday I started an old Matilda kit that I bought ($10 whopping bucks) specifically to model it as a knocked out wreck. In light of the deadline I've pushed this one to the front of the line. So yesterday the Matilda got all my attention for a good seven hours. I will be posting photos of what I did yesterday soon. It is progressing quickly as these old kits don't have a lot of parts.

So yesterday was one of those dream modelling days for me where I got a really big block of almost completely uninterrupted time for modelling and I got most of the Matilda built. I started right before 2 pm and went until almost 11 pm. here is the progression. Haven't had time to do anything today, but will definitely try to get back on this one for at least an hour if not more tonight.

Pedro, your Matilda is making good progress. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to seeing how you "knock" it out.

Thanks Kevin, I only managed about an hour on Sunday night, family stuff got in the way I love that Dio you made with the Sherman tank!
Here's a small update:
She has a full penetration on the rear of her turret and also has a deflection on her front armor. I decided to depict her as a captured Matilda that was being used by the Germans, then knocked out, then used for spare parts, and finally abandoned.

A little more progress on my Tristar Brummbar. The progress is painfully slow due to the many delicate parts in this kit. The detail is outstanding and the suspension is fully working. First time I have seen that on a pz. IV type hull.

Kevin, Dazza, Pedro thanks for the encouragement!.
Made some progress on the unburned vehicle. I think I'll tone down the dusting effect around the cupola a little bit. Tell me what you think.
I must say it's turning out much better that I expected.

Here is the picture I will use as inspiration. I will not make this particular vehicle, but something close to it.
Jesper, cracked armor will not be easy to replicate with plastic, look forward to seeing how you do that.

Looks great, PA. A very nice effect with the combination of the burned area and the dusty area.
Nice progress on the Matilda, Pedro.
Cracked armor will definitely not be easy and I have not tried it before so it might end in disaster. However, it is worth a try and a cool way to show the interior (what will be left of it) in a realistic way.

P.A. Nice job, I can't do the Braille scale thing so keep up the good work.
Pedro, the primer looks good. I think you have a good base built so far so it should continue to produce a good representation.
Jesse, I'd like to see the cracked armor, something that I've never done before so I'll be interested in seeing how you conquer that monster.

Very nice work all round guys.
Alexander The weathering on the unburnt area looks very good. Gives the tank a left in the fields look. You could back off the dirt from the cupola a little but it depends what you are after. The more there is the longer it has been there!
Nice look so far Pedro, what are you going to do with that beast? Burnt out, knocked out or both?

Thanks Dazza, she'll be knocked out and partially burned with extensive weathering as this will be a beute panzer she will have experienced heavy wear without proper regular maintenance towards the end of her lifespan.
After the black primer I came back over the areas that will be burned with gray primer. I wanted to give most of the tank a rust base, but i wanted to leave some chipping over the black primer too. The rust base looks lighter over gray primer than black so I wanted the variation with the burned areas getting a lighter shade of newer rust. I'll start the desert tan color today and the initial chipping faze with HS. After I have that done I'll try to get some updates up by tomorrow.

I got a about 2 hours in today and made some progress, I don't like to let the HS sit on them too long then it gets harder to chip, so I go in right after I finish putting in the top coat, this is just the start of the weathering process the painting process is almost over, but now I will dig into the detailing, weathering, washes, filters etc...
here is a quick update:

Really like the look of the burnt out areas. Was that all done with hair spray; including the exhaust?

Nice work Pedro chipping is very nicely reproduced.
I decided to order some tracks for the Pz35t, a friend adviced that the russian T-26 has very similar tracks with these the Pz 35 has and that I could use these.
It will take some time to receive the tracks, probably after the ned of this campaign.
As for the model, I addes some efects and it's nearly completed.
P.A.

Thanks Dazza, I actually had a hell of a time chipping the turret, see I painted it before the hull and then waited until I was done painting the hull before chipping. I regret that now as I would have liked to have gone even with less paint on the turret, I mean the darn thing burned so it shouldn't have that much paint on her. The hull I actually had a mishap with and had to partially repaint. the chipping solution I made for this build was made with stronger alcohol than I normally use. I usually dilute the 70% 1 part to 4 parts water, this time I diluted 91% because I was too lazy to drive to the darn store and that is all I had in the house. Bad mistake, it really made a huge difference and way too much paint came off the hull. So the hull is overchipped and the turret underchipped from what I actually wanted, but what the heck, right? It'll do for now and this is an ongoing process as I continue to learn how to do these techniques.
