Very cool, Sean. Your conversion is definitely something out of the ordinary.

Looking forward to see the final result.

Jasper for a kit with so many problems it appears that you have worked wonders with it, I thin it turned out great and with those colors that its sporting if they were in a different order 1 would think that it was a German or Belgium plane

Thanks for the comments, Sal. It was a tough build and almost took away my joy in building it, but only almost

For the next couple of kits I will build some of the newer kits with a good fit.

I have one minor issue with filling some odd mold...er..unpleasantries?.. around the return rollers. I'm still shooting for the multi-colored camo pattern, but I'll go for the monotone one if I'm pressed for time.

Hello All,
When the campaign ends on June 15th, I will give all of you 24-48 hours to get your photo's into the gallery.
I will award the ribbons on June 18th.

Great work all of you.
Cheers,
Bruce

Starting to sweat now! My base coats don't want to cure in this humidity-- I should be doing detail painting now, but I'm still on my second camo color just today. Still going to make it though!
Here are the before-paint photos...

wheels are just tacked on with white glue, so I can put the rubber tires on after painting.
The machine gun is from an AFV Club Dodge.
cheers!

We are having problems with our air conditioning unit again which is delaying my progress a little bit, but I'm still working right beside you guys Sean and Striker. I won't have any photos posted until I'm finished with the build.

I just uploaded the final shots. It came down to the wire, between work, life, and a couple hundred wargame miniatures to paint. I'm glad I took the leap though, it's been about 9 years since I painted anything larger than 28mm minis and had use a lighter hand on the brush. Now to finish an M1A1 that's been in the box for about 14 years!

Those frantic final moments of the last day, here adding the mirrors and antenna (still had to glue the antenna twice after knocking it off the first time)...
