@ Greg, the winter camo looks very good and convincing. Some filters/weathering will give the depth you want.
Gary E, your Stug rocks and figures are great! The ground is very realistic. I think you should hear our cries and make a post, a step to step how to paint a figure. I sure need it.....

Well it's about time I started this mess.
I actually started this on Columbus Day, but I'm lazy when it comes to posting pictures
Oh God.
And hey, look, World at War is on TV to keep me sane when doing all 28 wheels
Getting there...
All the while, I'm under enemy surveillance...
And today, I'm off to the hobby shop to buy paints n' stuff I probably don't need but want anyways.

Hey Phil,
The Track marks: Once i spread the cellu-clay in place i sprinkled dirt and a few tiny rocks of it. I let the dirt soak into the cellu-clay a few minutes and then pushed track marks in the dirt. I used a Pz.I, studebaker Cargo truck, and my Stug for the track prints, and....VOLA!!!
Thanks my friend!

I put a dirty wash on my StuG F today.
I've come to the conclusion that i like painting and finishing models better then i like building them. It might just be because i aggravate very easy and my builds just don't seem to go smooth!!

Here's the last picture I took of my project, the StuG III Ausf.G.
After weeks of planning, designing and building on my paint booth, it is coming along pretty fast now. I must do some more building on actual models this week to catch up and then complete the monstrosity, which basically has consumed all my "free time".
All that's left is the plumbing and electrical which I am transfering from a brand new fan hood I stripped the componants from. Using an RV plumbing kit I will be forcing the air into a filter system inside the room and not outside.
Once up and running I'll be painting like a madd-man for sure and probably will procastrinate what will be my first victim!

Oh, I can't do that Phil. It's made of the finest materials from the space industry! Pretty top secret stuff...
... the plywood that is. You guys won't be too impressed as it's just a big, ugly box. I hope to have it completed by the end of the month and painting in it in another 3 weeks.
Still haven't decided if I need a tank or not.

This has been an ordeal lately. The instructions have quite a few errors too, it lists the wrong numbers for parts, most notably the periscope. It's not there. I looked through all the sprues, checked the instructions again, and I can't find it Oh well. "Battle damage" Hopefully the missing parts are not too noticeable. The interior was been a pain, so I gave up on the radio sections for now. Maybe I'll get back to that later.
I'll shut up now. Here you go:
I didn't bother to take any other in progress photos. I'm sure we've all seen more than enough of those.
It looks pathetic at the moment, but I'll be able to salvage something out of it once it's painted.

@Jeff, I just knew you were CIA! They always get the cool toys ...Seriously I'm curious, I wanted to build myself a paintbooth for a while and your filter exhaust system seems really interesting. You got your patent number yet? hahaha!
@Conor, Dragon kit n'est-ce pas? Intricate plans, misterious missing part, sketchy fits...Why do we love them?
Your build looks pretty damn good to me my friend. Keep it up!
Phil.

Cheer up Conor! It doesn't look bad at all!
Just hang in there and learn and endure bud. That'll make you a better modeler for sure as DRAGON kits can be testy at best.

Hi Connar ..I;m working on that same kit at the moment and the periscope is on the clear sprue, which in my kit is taped to the cardboard along with the PE and sideskirts. I can even make out the sprue in the first pictures you took with the date .

Hi Gary ...Awesome job on your dio .
There is one thing you might want to fix on your crew figures.. Stug crew piping was red because they were considered artillary.. It`s a minor little detail but I thought you would like to know it.
Congratulatios on a job well done all around.. You`ve got me looking at all the early stugs in my collection .
